☀️Palms 1616-Partial Gulf View Beach Nearby-Lagoon Pool

The beds were stiff, the hot tub was always full, the large chess set was damaged and the timer was broke on the small chess set. The bar also held back on alcohol. The access cards always had a chance of not workings. We reactivated two. The food and staff were good. The pool was nice and the apartment was clean. All in all, if you are a family it might be worth it. If you're single I'd stay somehwere else.

The place is absolutely disgusting. There was a dead rat by the pool area, blood in the elevators, and the place smelled horrendous. There were not nearly enough carts to be able to bring your stuff back and forth from your car. Will not return.

Great experience

Furniture needs replacing. Broken bar stools and chairs at the table were broken. Had to call maintenance to come repair them and still wouldn’t use the bar stools. Kitchen was poorly stocked. Dirty dishes in the cabinet and glasses had orange juice pulp and lipstick marks. The balcony was poorly furnished. The Palms is a nice resort. Just not this condo.

The room was large but the furniture was horrible. The beds were pass cheap, very uncomfortable. One bed was on stands I was ready to go home and get some good sleep. There was only one pot to cook with and the refrigerator was old-looking and needed cleaning. The TV was too small and the balcony didn't have much furniture. The carpet was very dirty. This room needs a makeover. I will not stay here again.

After driving 7 hours after work and arriving around 1:00 am, we unloaded the car, found parking, took all of our belongings up to the unit just to find that it was disgusting inside. Floors were covered in dirt, old food stuck to the stove and sink, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and a DEAD COCKROACH smashed on the wall in the kitchen!!! After booking, I received an email stating that I would get access to a portal for all my rental info. I never did so I emailed Real Joy and inquired. I was told I would receive it the day of check in. That also never happened so luckily I figured it out myself and was able to track down our check in information. Back to the arrival. Upon arriving and finding ourselves in something far worse than any roadside motel, I called the emergency number and it was confirmed that our unit in fact had not been cleaned. I was told no one could even bring us clean sheets and that I could check with local hotels for the night until they could get our unit cleaned. At that point I demanded that they pay for our hotel or that they get this figured out, or I'd simply call my lawyer after reminding them that we are just loosening restrictions from this pandemic. We were finally given an address for another rental about a mile away, so back down we go to load all of our items and head there. While the second location was clean, it was also in a pretty rough condition. By 3am (4 am in my time zone) I found myself listening to all of the partygoers through paper thin walls and being blinded by the parking lot lights as over half of the blinds had broke and were laying on the floor under the bed. The next morning, back to lugging all of our items down a flight of stairs and back to the original cleaned unit. At this point I am completely exhausted. Our friend, the dead cockroach is still on the wall right next to the coffee pot and a blue liquid gel tablet still in the bathroom on the counter. You would think that after all of this, Real Joy would have refunded the first night or done something more than leave a $100 prepaid gift card on the counter while we were clearly sitting on the balcony. They quietly entered the unit while we were occupying it and left. The gift card is still sitting untouched. It honestly feels like a slap in the face after paying all of this money to stay somewhere and having to deal with this mess,

We took a family vacay to Destin and found this property to be great! Its location is perfect close to The Track and Big Kahunas also the public beach is directly across the street. The condo was spacious and clean plenty of room for 5. Staff was very friendly and we loved the bar by the pool. Will definitely stay here again.

Location was fabulous. Easy check in and out, people were pleasant. However, Unit had very strong smoke smell, for a smoke free environment. Our family had allergy issues. Management tried to help but it came back throughout our stay. AC was not vented in all rooms properly. Hot in one room cold in the other. Lots of stains on carpet and couch. Dining table and chairs super week/wobbly. Sliding glass door to balcony didn’t lock. People above and beside us in unit were super noisy to late hours 3am of the morning. For price and location unit should have been updated and better maintained. Despite, we had a wonderful time on our trip and stayed away from the room as much as possible, only went there to sleep. Would have to choose a different place next time, sadly cause location was prime and easy access to everything!
