OIB Isle Retreat: Oceanview | Balcony | Pool

We found the condo clean and comfortable. It met our needs for our trip to a “beach “ wedding. Unfortunately, the storm affected our ability to take advantage of the beach access. Check in was challenging with the lock directions but the manager was responsive and gave us guidance. I would suggest that the building numbers be posted on the side of the building so they can be seen frim the parking lot. I had to search to locate our condo.

This is a gorgeous home and the location is phenomenal. We checked in right at 4pm and did notice it wasn’t as clean as you would hope. There was some sand on the floors and the rugs had some pet fur - so it just seemed that the vacuuming had been rushed. The beds were comfortable, with the typical scratchy sheets found at most rentals.However, this house is truly gorgeous. We had everything we needed and enjoyed all of the areas. The pool and downstairs area are very clean, shady, and had plenty of lighting in the evenings. We enjoyed the pool each day and eating outside. I loved the screened in porch especially. The bathrooms had wonderful water pressure and we had a great relaxing week. The upstairs loft was actually very cool and comfortable with a fun separate living room area for the kids. The couches were SO soft and lovely. We enjoyed it. The house had plenty of baby-friendly and kid-friendly items and gates. The pool also had a ton of floats you could use. We would love to stay here again- it’s a gem!

This house was perfect for our family of 5. Each child had their own room and an additional TV room to watch tv and play games. Great proximity to beach and the house/pool was in perfect condition.

We have sought out this condo for the past three years, and love it. It has a prime location and is everything you could ask for in a beach home. My only complaint is that the master bedroom bed is quite uncomfortable (and loud) to sleep in. Aside from that, this place is picture-perfect in every way.

Loved the pool! We had it heated and it was divine! Used it every day, several times. They had lots of pool toys. Very comfortable inviting home well appointed with supplies. Short walk to beach & nice outdoor shower. We would highly recommend this to all interested. Great vacation with family.

We loved the welcome feeling by have the beds made with fresh linen (booked through Vacasa), the host had provided everything we needed and the decor was beautiful. The pool is very nice as well although we were there during the winter and we didn’t need it heated.

The area is gorgeous, clean and relaxing. The neighbor upstairs has been so friendly both years we have been there. We cannot wait to come back next year!

Great condo with plenty of room and a view. The condo is well furnished, comfortable, and clean. The condo is in a complex right on the beach and in a quiet location. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Older property but very clean. Great location

This home was such a cozy and perfect getaway for our family. The house comes completely stocked, and even has beach equipment if you don’t bring your own. We loved the screened in porch and sitting out by the pool each day. One of the best features is having the beach access straight down the road (maybe a two minute walk). We also loved being close enough to the bridge where we could easily drive on and off the island. This is definitely one of the best homes we’ve stayed in and it’s a must stay when visiting Holden!

Worst experience... Front door lock (Schlage) was difficult to operate from the beginning. I've never seen this model before either and I have rental property. Then the lock box didn't have a key inside so we had to wrestle with the Schlage for couple of days. The screen door wouldn't latch... Lights were cool white and warm light, mixed in the same fixture. Furnishings looked like they were acquired at a yard sale. Master bath was the size of a bathroom on an RV. The kitchen was poorly furnished and looked like the cooking utensils were picked up at a Restore. The TV in the master br was an old Visio (not a smart tv) and was only plugged into an electrical outlet, no internet or cable attachment as no outlets in that room. The sliding glass door was so corroded the door wouldn't latch so it couldn't be secured. The wall panel in the LR was buckled from leaks around the slider to the deck. The sofa farted every time someone sat on it. Toilets were the tiny type. Bathrooms were dated and worn. Really, disappointing to the max. We we so disgusted we left 3 days early. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Everything was fine Couple after noon's weather but staying at OIB after about 40-plus years ( yes We remember the tidal bridge) we can take it. On the bad side all these keyboard locks are a pain for old people. Thanks for asking first time ever.

We loved the house. Pictures depicted the house perfectly. Couches super comfortable, loved the hammock and pool floats, and the lights outside. The wagon to get to the beach was nice. The path to the beach was a great asset. Highly recommend this beautiful house.

This condo turned out to be a perfect location within walking distance of a wedding venue. We could reach the location within five minutes either via the beach or sidewalk. The condo was furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, was very clean upon arrival, and offered a view of the ocean from its porch as well as quick access to the beach. The Vacasa staff sent texts and emails to check in with us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We did not have to contact them about any concerns but appreciated receiving the follow up.
