Oceanfront Condo w/ Balcony, Great Views, NEW HVAC, W/D - Walk to Northside Park

The WiFi didn’t work, furniture was broken, the AC was busted, and the fridge didn’t get cold so our stuff kept melting. Thankfully, Vacasa relocated us because of the busted AC but it took 2 days of calling and arguing. Vacasa was great but this location was terrible.

Property had many problems: refrigerator needed gasket replaced, floor was dirty, sliding glass door would not move & had gapes, bedroom curtains would not close, no extra pillows or blankets, rusty microwave, no place for recyclables, not enough wash clothes delivered, and no dish towels supplied. View was terrific and beds were comfy so we made the best of it.

Our family enjoyed our stay in this condo. Great beach access. There a few things that need upgrading in the unit but it didn’t impact our stay. One thing we would have definitely appreciated was the “key” for the rise off hose.

Love staying in north OC and this unit was great location. Being ocean front is always preferred and views were awesome. Quick walk to beach. I was slightly disappointed in the cleanliness of the property. Clearly there was dog in the house prior to us because their was a lot of dog hair on the floor. I’m sure they vacuumed but with a tile floor the dog hair and crud was constantly blowing from under the furniture which clearly doesn’t get moved when they clean between renters.

This condo had a lot of room and was very convenient. The balcony was larger than expected. A few things were a bit outdated, particularly the microwave was rusty but still functioned, and several light bulbs were burned out or missing but nothing that impacted our trip.

We love the layout of this condo. Excellent to divide a kid versus adult zone. View is lovely and enjoyed best in evening from balcony. Air conditioning is good as well as other appliances. Bunk bed is pretty but did not trust top bunk, very wobbly. Pillows were flatter than I'd like, but all were clean so can't complain. Would come back again.

Tides Edge a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo had an amazing view, a nice layout, and was clean upon arrival. However, the tub wouldn't drain, which made it nearly impossible to shower. Therefore it's really more of a 1.5 bath rental. Also, the previous renters dirty linens were never picked up and our clean linens were never delivered. I did try and reach the local and corporate Vacsa offices but no one would reply. The unit really was lovely but be aware if you had a true emergency I'm not sure you could reach Vacsa directly.

What I love about this condo is the location - first floor, oceanfront. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. It is also a more family-oriented area and typically quiet. Unfortunately, there were kids partying in the condo next door and their balcony was right outside my window. Probably celebrating graduation, they played loud music and screamed until 5:30 a.m. It was just the one night, so I let it go. The downside was the cleaning and linens. I booked this condo in 2021 when managed by another agency and it was perfect on arrival. This time the dishwasher was full; the dishes and glasses in the cabinets were dirty; refrigerator was dirty; and the double bed was not fully made (just a flat sheet over the mattress and a bedspread. The towels leave white lint all over your entire body. I'm not sure what the fabric content is, but they were terrible! I will bring my own in the future. There was a note from the previous guest that the dryer was not working and the bathtub wasn't draining. I had no problem with the dryer, but the bathtub didn't drain properly. I informed Vacasa of the issues and they promised to refund the housekeeping fees. It's been a week and I haven't received the refund yet, but we'll see. The issues were more annoyances than anything. It's not cheap to stay here (at least not for me), so I want everything just right. I would still come back again providing I get the refund from Vacasa.
