I don’t think you can get any closer to the beach unless you pitched a tent on the sand. Barbara is a proactive host and everything was as we expected. We really enjoyed being able to hear and see the ocean 24/7 and felt comfortable in the area. Having our small dog along made it extra special.

That’s what’s the best place ever to use as a base on our trips to visit my son who lives in Wilmington! The cutest ocean front retreat for relaxation and for spending time with our son and his wife! It is set up so cute so old-fashioned beach college with a view to kill for! It is not fancy, at least compared to some of the luxury places that we have stayed in the past, but cozy and comfortable with the added bonus of bringing our sweet dog with us! Since it was on the bottom row, it was just a few short steps up to our door, which is great for the 65 year old lady! A few short steps to the beach and just gorgeous sunrise views every day! The hostess was amazing and so quick to respond! There were also many added bonuses such as paper towels, tissues, bathroom, tissue, hand soap, throughout, etc. I hate when I go to the beach and have to buy every single thing I might possibly need! Really enjoyed our week and hope to be able to book many times in the future to hang with my son and to enjoy a relaxing beach getaway!

Overall the stay was really nice. Unobstructed view of the beach! Beautiful spot, less than 2 miles from the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. The place was very clean and kitchen stalked with items for cooking. The beach does have a big pipe running along the coastline, so that might be a drawback but that’s the case for the entire coastline here. You do have to bring your own sheets and towels (including hand towels for the bathroom) but the owner supplies paper towels and toilet paper. The owner was good with communication throughout the entire process! Overall would recommend and come again.

TV needs updating to a larger screen

There was only 1 working lamp in the living room. There were no knobs to turn on the lamps. The one lamp you had to plug in to the wall to get it to work, there was no switch to turn it on or off. Definitely not enough lighting if you’re playing games. Furniture was pretty old and not very comfy. The main bed, you rolled to the center. There is no beach or a way ti get to the beach as advertised.

We arrived right before the Nor’easter came up the coast. Lots of rain, wind. We still had a great time discovering new restaurants and shopping at local business. We also found a mini golf. As always, the condo is clean and comfortable.

Great view and pet friendly. Inaccurate description of beach access. Closest access was 3 blocks down. Our beach access had been washed up at least 6 mons or more prior to our stay according to staff member. Kitchen and bathrooms clean. Bedroom and living room furniture smelled unpleasant. Floors were dirty. Could hear every step upstairs neighbor made. It was extremely loud.

Views were great! Place is a bit out dated and you have to walk 2ish blocks for beach access. The place could have been a little cleaner, especially the fan in the master bedroom. The shower head in the master had less water pressure than the sink (water was very stinky and I saw that someone else already made a comment about that! It was not that big of an issue!). The master bedroom could use a new mattress because you do kind of roll to the middle of the bed because the mattress is well loved! Great place for a few days but if you are a clean freak like me, I would suggest a newer place or possibly a hotel.

We had a fantastic stay! The condo is clean and comfy, beautiful view and great location!

Great view but a little dirty and beds were very cheap mattresses you have to bring your own linens and towels and the property manager Barbara is very nasty .

We had a wonderful stay. Right on the beach.

The location on the house was very convenient. The only issue we noticed was there was a funky smell coming from the mater bathroom sink when you turned on the faucet. The house was clean but the owner should consider updating the bathrooms in the future.

We absolutely loved the VIEW, location and space of the unit. The owner answered EVERY question I had. Chair and umbrella rental was easy.I understand the bridge to the beach was destroyed with storms, but it would be great for the Sunskipper community to either rebuild a small bridge over the rocks or pay for removal of some boulders to make for an easier transition to the beach (entry pic provided). It would also have been more convenient to have a water spicket at the building to de-sand.With that said, I would stay here again and again! 100/100

The property was clean, more spacious that it looked in the listing, and was perfectly located with convenient beach access and a great balcony overlooking the coastline. Property owner wae very responsive.

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach.

We were pleasantly surprised how spacious the condo really was. You cannot beat the location for a peaceful beach stay. I loved that my kids could go to the beach and I could watch from the balcony. That made them feel like they had a bit of freedom without me having to worry. It is very dog friendly in this area of CB. Fishing is hot on the surf as well. The appliances, bathrooms, and TVs are a bit outdated and the icemaker didn't work, but as long as you know ahead and bring ice or fill up the ice trays, then it is no big deal. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all the supplies you need to make full meals. The only real complaint that I have is I wish I could have stayed longer!

We had a great vacation the condo is in a great location with a beautiful view. We had an issue with air conditioning first night, we notified owner and she had a tech out first thing the next morning to fix it.

Great place for and R/R week. Views were fantastic. Communication with owner was very good, she is a great person. Recommend to anyone.

The upstairs tenants were horific! Barbara handled it.This was completely none of her fault and she took over when called. I will stay again

My husband and I spent a couple of nights at Barbara’s condo for our anniversary (with 2 pets). Everything is exactly as described on VRBO. We enjoyed our stay. The ocean views were exceptional. Barbara is a great host. She was always available to help with any issues or questions during our stay.answer any questions

Very clean comfortable condo. Beach access a little difficult

I stayed here for a quiet winter getaway with my dog. The view from the condo is stunning - sunrise and sunset are gorgeous. The condo is cozy, quiet and private and looks exactly like the photos. I made some meals in-unit by choice but even in winter, there are good restaurant options within a mile, including the pier nearby. As others have noted, the immediate beach entry is closed due to beach erosion but the open entrance was only .1 mile down the road - an easy walk. Barbara, the property manager, is friendly and very responsive.

My husband and my mom came down to Carolina beach for my 51 birthday. This condo was the perfect place. It was clean, cozy, and best of all ocean front. I spent most of my stay on front balcony facing the ocean. I got to see dolphins swimming for the first time ever right from the comfort of the balcony. All I can say is AMAZING!! We will be back and stay again in the same place!! The view is PERFECT!!

I believe this is the 3rd fall break that we stayed in Carolina Beach in your condo. The weather was great..actually pretty warm. We love the convenience of your condo to shop, visit Kure Beach/pier, Carolina pier and Fort Fisher. I hope we can come back next year!

We got there on Sunday 15th, the night cyclone eight came thru. It rained and flooded on Monday. It was 1,000 year flood. We made the best of it and still had the best trip. It was my first vacation in 10 years. The place we stayed at the Pink Sunskipper was very cozy. Barbara the owner checked in on us everyday to make sure we was ok and if we needed anything. I would definitely stay there again!

If being able to bring your pet with you and staying ocean front are the top requirements on your list, then this place will definitely check those boxes. However, upon check-in we were given strict guidelines as to what temperatures we could use for the a/c. 72 is as low as you can set it, and it seemed as though the back rooms were cooler than the front living area (if it freezes up, that extra bill is on you). The ice maker on the door of the freezer had a wash cloth jammed in it, with a note that read it was out of service for the moment. It seems to be an older condo (which is fine), and things overall had been cleaned, and wiped off, but it could use a deep dusting/cleaning. Parking was an issue. Not because of so many cars, but if you drive any type of full size truck or full size SUV then you would not be able to park at the building with this unit. We drive a Nissan van and things were so tight we had a hard time squeezing our van in (had to absolutely center the spot) and then we (average size people) had to squeeze between van and large post to get around to the stairs. One day we did not center the space exactly, and ended up scratching one of our sliding doors. I really don't know that the location can be beat. You are right on the ocean. You will have to walk down a little to have enough beach to set up chairs, but sitting on the balcony is heaven! There are plenty of places to eat and things to do within 5-10 minutes from here.

The location and view from the unit is unmatched. Enjoying the beach is made easy by the Landlord. The unit has everything you could need. Steps away from a beautiful beach in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. I would highly recommend.

Perfect stay at the beach -with it being spacious, well decorated and an oceanfront property. The location was ideal and the owner was easy to reach and provided thorough instructions.
