The rental was as described and shown in the pictures. Rooms were pleasant and the private boardwalk for beach access was great. The hosts were pleasant and communication was good. We had to contact the hosts on day 2 of our trip due to the constant high level of noise above us on the 2nd floor. We were not able to sleep until the wee hours of the morning. The steps above were not a slight creaking of the floors - the ceiling shook and you could hear talking above. Guests above us were not making noises above the normal range, however, the age and construction of the home 100 years ago did not provide for the best sound insulation between floors. The hosts have done their best in working with contractors to provide better insulation between the floors and took the time to meet with us about the issue.

The host was excellent! Very friendly and made it easy for me to find everything I needed. Very welcoming the unit itself is in a great location just steps away from the beach. Thank you so much for a wonderful, much needed, hideaway for this mama.

What a great find! Boat was awesome, met us at the unit to show us around and give us plenty of tips on CB. Place was clean and the beach was literally out the back door and 75’ on a private board walk. Almost want to keep this place a secret so we can go back when we want.

Perfect location to beach. Odd to have to pay extra for linens, instead of it being included in rental price, but not a big deal. Manager welcomed us upon arrival with a walk through. Enjoyed our time here!

Nice Beachfront location. Quiet and clean. No washer, dryer, or dishwasher as expected. Also the first time I've ever had to do a walk through with property owner at time of arrival and wasn't made aware until we were already on the way. Somewhat awkward but she was still nice and informative. Overall ok just because of the location and price.

We loved our stay! The beach house had everything we needed and the location with private access to the beach was awesome for our family. The host was very nice and was able to get us in early with a linen package. We stayed only one night as we were on a family roadtrip but easily would’ve stayed much longer!!

We were thrilled with our stay at The Carolina Beach house. It’s a wonderful location and the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the huge walk-in shower! .

This property was great for a short trip to the beach, affordable and with beach access. Amenities were fine, although wi-fi was a bit frustrating. Otherwise we appreciated our time there.

Wow!! What a great weekend. We had a great time staying at the Carolina Beach House. The home was the perfect size for our group and very clean. We loved being able to walk right out onto the beach, was so convenient to run back to grab whatever we forgot. Genevieve, was so welcoming and helpful. We hope to come back in the future.

Listing was quite vague. Thought we would have a balcony to see the oceanfront.

We loved the private, short, wooded path giving us immediate access to the beach. The rinse off station, located in the backyard, with a path to it as well, very convenient. Several beach chairs provided, made it so nice for a family that flew in.

Found bedbugs in sofa bed in living area late on the first night. Immediately left the next morning. Confronted host with pictures and video. Host stated they couldn’t find any bugs and suggested we brought them with us. Host only provided a partial refund.

Perfect beach house for 2 adults and 2 kids. Literally a few steps off back porch and you're on the beach. We walked from the house to the shops and boardwalk, maybe a mile at most. House had internet, and came with a beach canopy that we actually needed. Coming back next year for sure!

The owner was a delight and everything was so beautiful and comfortable we loved it!

We enjoyed everything about our 3 night stay except the rain and its flooding on our patio. We never did get to sit on the furniture there...

We got a step-by-step tour of the home and all the amenities were as described. It's just close enough to the boardwalk to walk but it's far enough that you don't hear the mayhem. To walk to the beach on their private walkway is clean enough to walk around on your bare feet

We had a great time! Love the property and our owner/host was terrific to work with throughout. We look forward to coming back!

If we decide to make another trip to the beach, this will be our go to. We are a family of six and we all fit comfortably in the accommodations. The beach was our backyard and absolutely amazing. The neighborhood was quiet, and the host was attentive to whatever needs we had, which wasn't many.

We stayed for a night in town for a gymnastics meet. This property was perfect! Beach access was great! Host was wonderful! Will definitely keep this host on our list to rebook if we return to the area!

We had a wonderful weekend! This place was exactly as described. A short walk to the beach with all the gear we needed to make it comfortable.

I took my daughter and her friend for a short overnight girls trip during their Spring break. This rental was perfect for it! I loved how the beach access was right outside our back door. And there were no stairs so I literally could pull my car up so the trunk was right at the front door. It made it super easy to unpack and pack up again the next day. Our host was there to greet us and show us where everything was.

We enjoyed our stay! We stayed in the bottom 2 bedroom unit. It was neat and tidy with all of the amenities. 2 notes would be , bring your own ground coffee for a traditional coffee maker, which we did because the host lwt us know; if there are renters in the unit above you, you can hear all of the footsteps, so bring a sound machine, just in case your neighbors are early risers. . BUT it is a historic home, so that is to be expected. We drive a Silverado truck and it is possible to park, but a smaller car, as stated in the add, would be beneficial. Our host was super knowledgeable about the area and offered the perfect stay. We would definitely go back!

Owner was there to meet us, and showed us around the property. We had such a nice time exploring and relaxing.

Love the space. It was cozy & had all the necessities. We were able to text the property owner during our stay & didn’t have any trouble. The only thing we would improve would be parking. Very tight & only enough room for one car so if your coming with others, carpool if possible.

This was the perfect spot for my little family’s weekend get away! It was great to be able to walk out onto the beach with my littles whenever we felt like it! Genevieve was super friendly and helpful at check in! The place was very neat and tidy and just the right size for us! We even enjoyed the book “Good night cookies”,that was in one of the rooms, with our 4 year old at bedtime! It is also close to many restaurants, the boardwalk and aquarium! All in all a great stay and hope to be back soon!

Long story short..myself and the owner found bedbugs in a chair in the living area and my daughter was asleep in the bed and after checking her i found 2 in the bed with her which i placed in a glass jar for her to show the exterminator. We could not stay due to my daughter being bitten and had to find a motel and the owner will not refund our money. I have pictures as well. Find

A grand place!

Easy living area, Beach was not crowded, even on weekends. And I'm at boardwalk nice beach view. Decent seafood but mostly fried. We enjoyed ourselves.

I don’t think the location could be any better. You are right on the beach with fabulous outdoor sitting areas. Beach was quiet and not crowded. Genevieve was there to greet us and show us exactly where to park, along with a tour of the property. I would definitely stay again!

We had one night here and absolutely loved the space! Communication with the host was excellent, the home was well-stocked and so wonderfully located. Genevieve was very accommodating and kind, we had a wonderful evening and morning at the beach and we couldn't be more appreciative of her hospitality! We would definitely love to stay here again. :)

Awesome property will definitely be going back to this location love the house and the location in reference to the beach. Walk straight to the beach from the back door. Also loved that the owner actually showed us around the property when we arrived that was a great thing compared to most Vrbo places. Loved staying here and will be booking in the future.

Read the listing carefully. Sometimes, we read these things months in advance and forget the details. The hosts treat the listing as a contract, and they will refer to the listing for any complaints. The location is absolutely amazing! This place could be perfect for you if you're all about the location and won't spend much time at the property. It wasn't the best fit for us, but I don't want to discourage anyone from staying. We felt this was way overpriced for what we got and have stayed at many VRBOs. Regarding the price, we believe liens should be included. We were floored when we arrived and found the dryer was broken. A sign said “Not working” and “Not on listing. I’m sure the host will say we should have read more carefully, but I never thought I should read a listing like a contract. Because we brought our own liens, we brought fewer clothes, knowing there was a washer and dryer. We ran out of clothing and had to buy clothes for our daughter. It shouldn’t be in the picture if an appliance doesn't work. The hosts are on the property, which is unusual for a VRBO. We felt we were being watched at times. There were also cockroach issues. We alerted the hosts, and they offered to spray, but we declined because we had a baby. They stated that since they live near the dunes, that is just a part of beach life. Parking was a nightmare, and it was loud in the listing. We did not feel comfortable but it might be perfect
