The home was very clean and lovely. The check in instructions were very easy to follow and the owner was communicative. Lovely place to stay for a mountain getaway!
We had the coziest time for our small Thanksgiving :) the property faces the tree line and we woke up to a fresh coat of snow. It was a very magical and memorable weekend for us. We toured the Argo gold mill which was a short 20 min drive from the place.
Great place for a mountain getaway and a short drive to St Mary’s Glacier and Idaho Springs. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any messages.
We enjoyed at stay
The bed was not comfortable the mattress rolls to the middle Found dirty socks on floor from someone else Cabinet in kitchen area was hanging off its hinges
There was a mouse the was at in the property, saw it once.
It was a very nice place and I’d say that the location was really nice and the views/scenery was great as well.
Great place! Close to many places to eat and close to the mountains. Super windy bring warm clothes in the winter even when it’s nice in town. Easy to get to. Comfy bed and couch.
Wonderful accommodations!! Location was all we hoped for and great access. Views were phenomenal. Will definitely come back... Recommend anyone to stay at the location
The best part is definitely the location, and it's worthwhile to book just to be in such a beautiful, remote location, so close to St. Mary's Glacier. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive to and from the unit as well. As other reviewers mentioned, this third floor unit gets warm, even on cool nights. There are fans throughout but it is challenging to keep it cool. The kitchen was nicely stocked. The unit was very clean. It's a bit more dated looking vs. the photos on the listing.
First of all, the apartment was really clean, and someone answered the phone when I called or texted on a Friday night or Saturday - super responsive. No complaints there AT ALL. However, we don't get away much, and of primary importance to me on a vacation is to rest. So a cheap, squeaky, bouncy bed just won't do. Well, maybe for $60/night at a really cheap hotel, OK. And the walls were PAPER thin, so everything the girls in apt A said could be heard. When I called and asked about it, the response was immediate. But we could hear just about every word. Lastly, the trailhead for St Mary's Glacier is about 1/2 mile up the road. I thought I would walk out my door and start walking (at St Mary's Glacier trailhead.) That is probably my mistake.
Great location! The area is secluded and in/surrounded by the most beautiful mountains. The smell of the pine trees is divine and the stream nearby is the only sound that can be heard. The property is very nice and carries the essentials. Since it is located on the 3rd floor, it does get warm inside (even though temps get in the 50s) but with the fans help cool it down. Highly recommend and we will be back!
Location was exactly what we wanted. A minutes walk from a great trailhead where the parking would fill very fast.
The house was very nice and clean and the description was accurate. Unfortunately, we arrive to the Home at 8:30 in the evening and there was no power. Mind you it was 27° in the mountains and snowed approximately 8 inches, so very cold weather for May 31. I had a hard time getting a hold of the property owner but finally was able to and he informed me that there was to be a scheduled power outage for quite a few hours over the night, he did not make us aware of this stating he only found out a few hours before. We could’ve received a call or an email but no communication had happened. When we called the power went out
Had a great time staying in this unit over the weekend. For those looking for more of a remote experience and to explore the Saint Mary's area this is a good choice. The unit is located 20mins from Idaho Springs and significantly higher in elevation. Be prepared for the weather to be totally different in the Saint Mary's location compared to Idaho Springs. In our case it was in the 40's and snowy at this property and near 20 degree warmer and sunny in Idaho Springs.
