Loved this gem of a cabin tucked way up in the mountains by a lake. Our host, Jake was kind enough to check up on us. He was quick to reply and answer our questions. The area is very peaceful and private. Our family of five had more than enough room. Cabin was clean and it provided plenty of amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen. It had everything we needed and more. Even though we didn’t use them, fishing poles and fishing gear were provided along with 2 fishing licenses. We would love to go back in the summer to make use of that fishing gear.
The home was in such a beautiful place and is in good condition. The home was clean and Jake was very responsive. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. We even got to do some exploring around the lake and my kids loved it. The location is fairly remote, which is nice but with any amount of snow would be hard to get to. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful cabin, all that was promised. Only negative was the altitude sickness. It is definitely up the mountain!
My family and I were in the area for the Georgetown Loop Railroad. We chose this property because it was listed a non-smoking, pet free. The dust on every hard surface combined with the very noticeable smell of cigarette smoke made it a very unpleasant stay for myself and 4 year old who have allergies. The view from the kitchen/living area was gorgeous, and the kitchen had everything we could need including a bottle of wine. This home needs some updating and deep clean.
This wonderfully placed cabin in the woods was just what our hearts and souls needed for the final leg of our vacation. The listing couldn't have been more true to it's depiction, and was everything and more than we could have hoped for! I would definitely return for another stay here.
It was amazing home! Felt like I was at home.
Truly a memorable stay in a well maintained cabin! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a beautiful loaction in the mountains.
Property was well maintained and very enjoyable. Peaceful, quiet, with great views and hiking. Far enough away but close enough so getting supplies or enjoying downtown Idsho Springs wasn't an issue. Will definitely be back.
Everything was perfect. Great, quiet, peaceful location.
Amazing
The VRBO site was a bit difficult to actually book the house, but after that it was smooth sailing! It is a great home to stay at with beautiful trees, home decor, comfy beds, and a very cozy living area. Jake was great with communication and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again. Book it!
Amazing! The property was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate my sisters birthday. Immaculately clean, beautiful views, perfect layout…and one of the most gracious hosts I’ve ever had. Jake provided excellent communication, was flexible and accommodating. And what a pleasant surprise to find a bottle of wine awaiting our arrival! No detail spared. Do yourself a favor and book your stay today!!
My friend and I spent 2 nights at the property. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable and quiet. We had all the kitchen equipment that we needed. The host was absolutely wonderful with communication. We hope to go again next year. S & T
We loved it as a private getaway. Incredibly peaceful. Hiker’s paradise. So much to do near by. We highly recommend.
We had great time this weekend! The house is very cute and the location is just what we were looking for! We really enjoyed spending time fishing and kayaking on the lake right down from the house! The host was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed.
Amazing setting in the beautiful neighborhood of St Mary's Glacier. House is spacious yet feels cozy. The patio feels like a treehouse--the chipmunks, river, and the wind were our only sounds. It was cloudy so we didn't get to see the starts, but the telescope and binoculars would definitely be valuable on a clear night. My sister and our two boys 8 and 10 spent hours skipping rocks at the private lake just a block down the road. The windy road to the house gave us a glimpse into mountain living. We used the kitchen and had everything we needed. We took the St Marys Glacier hike- we walked to the trailhead with the boys and had no trouble. Hike was just right for my family visiting from the midwest- not too strenuous for them with beautiful views. It was a great short trip!
This was my first time visiting Colorado and wow what a way to be introduced to this beautiful state. Everything was so clean, host responded quickly and everything was easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking to visit Colorado and do not want to be within the city and rather in the wilderness.
We only stayed 2 nights, but the location was great. The location was perfect as we mainly wanted to relax and go to St. Mary's Trailhead (which was a close walk from this place). The area was nice and quiet. Plenty of space for our family of 4. We even saw a Mamma Moose and baby the morning we were packing up to leave-she walked right past the front door.
The cabin was very accommodating for our large group (4 adults and 3 kids). When we first walked in, the view took our breath away....absolutely gorgeous!! There was plenty of space throughout the cabin (dining, meal prep, hanging out with the group and secluded space when needed). All of the furniture (including the beds) was very comfortable. The kitchen had to have been the most equipped kitchen we've ever encountered in a rental....plenty of dishes, silverware, cookware, utensils, SPICES and non-perishables too!! Also some condiments were in the fridge so I suggest you check what's provided before grocery shopping. There is a shortage of regular drinking glasses....plenty of juice and wine glasses though. Our Host Jake kept in touch before, during and after our stay, super nice guy and had even provided complimentary coffee and a bottle of wine. FYI for future renters: It is a solid 20 minute drive once you exit I-70, up the mountain to the cabin, try to arrive before dark the first night as the roads aren't marked well. The temperature is 20 to 30 degrees cooler (very nice surprise in June). There are other cabins around but not easily seen and at the time of our stay, there were NO receptacle's for trash and finding a place to dispose of our trash was a challenge. Bottom line, we would definitely stay here again!!!!
My husband and I and another couple stayed here and had a wonderful visit. This cabin is one of the best stocked VRBO properties we have stayed at. The cabin is spacious and nicely decorated. We loved the deck and feel of being secluded in the trees. We loved the proximity to hiking trails and the lakes. It is also close to Idaho Springs and lots to do in the area. Great communication with the property manager. We appreciated that tremendously. One small complaint- no wifi for the week made it a challenge to do basic things like search online for nearby trails and other things. We had to drive down the mountain to get a signal. A warning for flatlanders like us- this cabin is at a high elevation if you are prone to elevation sickness. Other than that, this is an amazing location and beautiful cabin. We had a wonderful time.
We did a trip with my sister in law and brother in law for my husbands 36th birthday! The cabin exceeded our expectations. The drive to the cabin was stunning. We highly recommend!
What a peaceful, beautiful getaway! I took my parents as they are visited me from Indiana for their first trip post covid! We had such a great time! Thank you for the great hospitality in this amazing cabin!
