Luxury Golf Course Condo In Naples, Florida

This wonderful condominium is in the secure, gated Glen Eagle Country Club in Naples. It has an airy, open floor plan with a 12-foot cathedral ceiling in the living area, and was newly carpeted and painted in the summer of 2016. It is on the 3rd floor, and is accessible by both elevator and stairs. There is a fully screened balcony, which overlooks the golf course, and there is a new 49” flat screen TV in the living room.

The condominium has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Each bedroom has a 32” flat screen TV. Cable TV and WiFi internet are included with the rental. The master bedroom, which overlooks the golf course, has both an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a generous walk-in closet. The second bedroom is conveniently adjacent to the common bathroom, which has a tub and shower.

The fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator, electric range and oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, disposal, coffee maker and toaster oven. There is a full size washing machine and dryer in the utility room next to the common bathroom.

There are ceiling fans in the living area, the kitchen, and both bedrooms.

One reserved, private, covered parking space is included just downstairs from the unit, and public, unreserved, uncovered guest spaces are available close by.

The Glen Eagle Country Club is composed of several small residential communities, each with its own amenities. This condo is located in the Glenmoor Greens 1 community, which has its own swimming pool and hard surface tennis/pickleball court just steps from the unit. The Country Club facilities are about a ten-minute walk away, and there is plenty of parking should you choose to drive. The clubhouse facility includes a restaurant, a bar, swimming pool, 4 lighted clay-like har tru tennis courts a billiards room and a golf pro shop. There are bocce courts and a fitness center at the Divot facility about a quarter mile from the main clubhouse. Country Club use is included in the rental as are two private golf course privileges (please note, when comparing prices, other rentals don't include this in the base rental, and charge extra for golf privileges).

The historic areas of Old Naples including the tony shopping areas and restaurants on 5th Avenue South and on 3rd Street South, and the funky shops, restaurants, and water tours of Tin City are a few minutes drive away. Marco Island is about 20 minutes away, depending on traffic, as are Pelican Bay, Vanderbilt Beach and the upscale shops of the Village On Venetian Bay as well as the Mercato shopping and dining complex (with the nicest movie theater in town) in North Naples.

Regional natural attractions include the Everglades a few miles to the East, where you can experience airboat rides and sample exotic foods. Delnore Wiggins Pass State Park and Barefoot Beach State Park are a short drive away on the Gulf Shore of North Naples. Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge is nearby as is JN “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island where you can take fascinating bird watching tours. Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve where you can take boat tours and kayak tours surrounds Marco Island. Corkscrew Swamp Audubon Sanctuary is a few miles to the Northeast. There are many other State Parks and natural reserves in the area, so there is no shortage of nature activities for those so inclined.

For pickleball devotees, Naples is known as the pickleball capital of the world, and the USOP National Pickleball Center, located at the East Naples Community Park (a 10 minute drive from our unit) is the home of the U.S. Open pickleball tournament held every spring. It has 65 courts which are available to the public on weekdays during specified hours.

For those renting in February, March and/or April, The Boston Red Sox spring training facility will be hopping at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Fort Meyers about 30 to 45 minutes away, depending on traffic. Pitchers and catchers generally report around the 3rd week of February, with position players reporting about 5 days later. Games are generally scheduled from the beginning of March through April.
