Kona Makai 6-305 GORGEOUS OCEANFRONT, TOP FLOOR, 2 BEDROOM

Great location in Kona with beautiful sunsets. Excellent communication and easy check in. Unit had everything we needed.

This condo suited our families needs. Lainis ocean view was decent. The property management company should know which streaming or cable company the condo uses along with instructions. Sad seeing Kona town with all of its retail vacancies

Clean space. Great ocean view. Easy parking. Property management was very responsive to unexpected hiccups we encountered.

The place was in a great location, it was very clean. The bedding was great. They left us laundry detergent and dish detergent. There were beach towels, coolers, chairs (albeit somewhat broken). The property was well laid out, and everything worked. Under normal circumstances my only complaint would have been that it was HOT when we arrived, and it took 2 days of both acs of full blast (which was loud) to cool down. The upstairs loft part really didnt get below 79.2 hours before we arrived we wereinformedd that the 'possible' spalling work listed as an asterisk was in fact occuring on our balcony. Which meant 1/4 was roped off and we couldnt use it. And 2 of the mornings there were workers actively chiseling. So no morning coffees on the balcony for us. Plus there was construction dust and equipment so even when we were alone it was not comfortable to be on the balcony. This was an extreme dissappintment as the view and the balcony were a huge reason we chose this place.So overall, its probably a great place to stay most of the time. It just so happened the 'possible spalling' since april of 2024 meant my 5 days in May of 2025 had active concrete sanding, tiling, construction dust and a closed section of our balcony. I was hugely disappointed.

The upstairs had comfortable bunk bed that worked out great for our teens. The second bed was also great. It was sparkling clean which is super important to us. It was the cleanest place we ever stayed in Hawaii. We really enjoyed our mornings on the lanai, watching the ocean and dolphins. Most of the appliances were like new. We enjoyed our evenings in the pool/ hot tub and sitting by the ocean. The grounds were beautiful too. We will definitely stay again when visiting Kona

The property manager waited till the very last minute (2 hours before check-in) to provide instructions despite asking numerous times. I was honestly looking for another place to stay after already paying the full amount in advance . When you are flying into a location for vacation folks want all the information completed in a timely manner. The beds were very uncomfortable and they expected us to do laundry and clean despite paying a cleaning fee. Also so many rules about what you can do on the property it was unreasonable not to mention on the 3rd floor with no elevator. I suggest you look elsewhere.

Everything was Awesome, the kitchen well supplied with all the dishes and cooking supplies needed. There were plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, ice chest everything you need for the beach. I fell and scrapped my knee pretty bad at the volcano, got back to the condo and there was a 1st aid kit, peroxide, everything I needed. So many little thing like that are much appreciated.❤️ The pool was so nice and clean. We saw the maintenance man out cleaning it out every morning and he even drained the hot tub and refilled. Very clean and beautiful landscape. The only thing is the a/c in the living room was not as cool as the bedroom, there were plenty of fans to keep you cool. Will stay here again. Loved it!🌈P.s I got a pair of shorts stuck in the washer, I text Knutson and they had a maintenance man there within the hour. Thank you for that.☺️
