The views are real! Waking up to the beautiful and ever-changing sunrise and ocean view was my favorite part. The Murphy bed was super comfy, plus you can hear the waves! Kitchen and bathroom were great and well stocked. Only negative was that this area seemed to be a wind tunnel almost all the time. Due to the windy conditions, we never used the pool since we'd be chilly with the wind. The hot tub was closed in early March 2024 and we were not notified, so that was a bummer due to the wind since it was too chilly for the pool.

Overall, I would describe our stay here as very satisfactory. The location is basically what sold me on booking this condo as it is midway between both north and south areas of the island. Also, there is a Safeway food store directly across the street, which was very convenient. We did stop at Walmart after we arrived at the airport, but found the Safeway to be a little bit more to our liking. The view from the balcony is outstanding. I am still dreaming of that view, just sitting on the balcony having lunch & even a couple of dinners and enjoying the spectacular view.I was able to capture quite a few sunrise pictures due to the fact that we have the outdoor alarm clocks, roosters ! The property is very nice. We did enjoy the pool in the afternoons after our excursions and just laying out on the Chaise lounge chairs on the lawn was wonderful.Having some beach chairs, and a cooler to take to the beach was also a bonus. Overall, we did enjoy our stay except for the lack of having central air conditioning. The unit that is in the bedroom is a little bit noisy, and we wound up having to turn it off at night. Fortunately, it wasn't as hot during our stay, we opened up the doors during the day to get the nice breeze coming from the ocean.

Everything was extremely clean other than the pots and pans. All but two pans were dirty or scrached up. Location is great for getting around the island and 8E88 food truck down the block is amazing. Could've had a few less emails and text messages during the trip wanting updates as it seemed to get a bit excessive from what it seemed mutiple people and or outlets. Overall i would still recommend the grounds to others looking for a place to stay thats under 2k.

Lovely location. We booked for the oceanfront views and it did not disappoint. The sunrise view is spectacular! No access to beach, but we enjoyed the lounge chairs on the grass.

We stayed here during our honeymoon and must say that we had a wonderful time! This apartment was clean, good views of the ocean, close to shops and restaurants. Since this is in Kapaa, it’s so easy to drive to North shore and south shore. We were able to split our days and enjoy each corner of the island. The beach in front of it is not swimmable but if you just walk 5 mins to the right of the apartment, there’s a beach there where you can swim, I do recommend wearing water shoes tho! Also the apartment came with beach chairs, umbrella,and 2 coolers to enjoy our beach day trip! The owner is also very responsive and answered all our questions. My wife and I are talking about staying here again next year!!

Reviewer Comments: Living on the Big Island and having a vacation rental of our own, we know there is very few perfect vacation rentals, this rental has a few blemishes but about as perfect as your are going to find. The management was great and wanted to make your stay as good as they could. The view of the sunrise could not be much better anywhere. The place was very clean and compfortible and walking distance to most everything you will need for your stay. The bed was not great for me but the wife was very happy with it. All and all I have nothing bad to say about this place and we would stay here again.

Great location. Beautiful unobstructed ocean view from unit balcony and common areas. Unit was as pictured/described. Good location right near coastal walking/bike path in Kapaa.

The view and being right on the water and seeing and hearing the ocean Was amazing. All this condo wasn’t the most updated we’ve stayed in, it was well furnished, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for outings and the beach. The bed was super comfy and the fan and air conditioner in the bedroom were more than adequate to keep us comfortable. The rest of the condo was kept cool by the huge breeze off the water. There wasn’t a beach you could lie on, but there was a huge Lawn with loungers and the pool. There were many beaches close by. It was close to lots of restaurants and shopping and midway between the north and south sides of the island. Close to airport. Would return!

Great ocean view, condo has everything we could need and more, near restaurants and stores there’s a little beach in front, the only bad part is that we had to leave

The kitchen was well stocked, and the air conditioning in the master bedroom worked great. The condo itself is well taken care of; however, the Kapaa Shore resort is dated and the landscaping needs some upkeep, grass is dead, paint peeling. Also, the pool area is mediocre, no umbrellas, just the bare minimum.

Our only complaint would be the portable AC was not working in the best condition during our stay. It was not blowing out cool air the whole time we were there.
