The Islander Villas Community is on the west end of the island which has a much wider beach and is less crowded than the upper end. The Islander Villas community has a very nice ocean front pool club with pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, outdoor tiki bar all on the ocean front as well as 4 community tennis courts.
Ocean Isle Beach is a south facing barrier island with 7 miles of beach on the Atlantic Ocean, located 12 miles south of the NC/SC border. Ocean Isle Beach is a much quieter and less crowded island than areas like Myrtle Beach, etc. The beach is spectacular and is very wide and clean with a nice gentle slope. The island has a fishing pier, arcade, surf shops, restaurants, museum, ice cream parlor, mini golf course, bicycle, jet ski, kayak, boat and golf cart rentals. The backside of the island has quiet protected water great for kayaking.

Whether enjoying an early morning cup of coffee, taking a break from the sun on the covered deck, or winding down at the end of the day, you are close enough to see and hear the waves as they crash onto shore and you'll feel the constant ocean breeze that you can only get by being so close to the water.

Renters also enjoy exclusive membership rights to The Islander Beach Club which is just 200 yards down the street. The Islander Beach Club offers a huge oceanside pool with an adjacent kiddie pool and hot tub. It also has a great outside Tiki Bar overlooking the pool and the ocean that can be enjoyed throughout the day or night.

    Queen mattress is a mess! It looks torn up and as such was like sleeping on bumps. I had to double up sheets to make it comfortable. Full bed in room with bunk bed mattress very uncomfortable. Might be good to add a mattress topper. Bathroom toilet paper holders are wobbly-not secure to the wall. Shower heads may need to be cleaned or replaced. Spray was not good. Underneath beds and dressers lots of dust bunnies. I dropped something in one of the bedrooms and that’s when I noticed this as well as checking under beds and dressers before leaving. Can hear folks in above unit walking about, dog running etc. it’s very frustrating to get ice cubes out as the shelf cannot be pulled out. It’s awkward trying to get items out of the freezer. Dryer vent is rusted; might be time to replace it as it can be challenging to get lint off if it. TV in living room awfully small. Several tiles near and in kitchen are cracked. One tile moves when stepped on. Fruit flies were a constant issue. We kept food covered and fruit in refrigerator. Roaches were found inside and outside. This is described as a luxury condo but it is not a luxury condo.

    We had a wonderful trip and the condo was perfect for our family. It was so convenient to have separate bathrooms with each room. We loved that the condo was on the end building and beach access was so convenient and less crowded than other areas! We did rent a golf cart and that made driving to the pool so convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!

    This place was perfect for our family with the variety of beds to suit our family needs. It was so convenient to the beach, just a few steps and the ability to wash off sand when we returned was an added bonus. We were able to wash off chairs, toys etc… and store underneath condo until the next day. The kitchen was well stocked. There were large stock pots so we were able to have a crab, shrimp boil for a large group. The best part was Cliff, the host. He was an excellent source for any questions, guidance and information. He was prompt with all responses. This was my first VRBO rental and he was always available and gave step by step instructions for check in and check out. He even extended our check out time, which was an extra bonus. I will definitely rent from him again.

    We have been booking our OIB summer rentals at Islander Villas with Cliff (CottageVacations4U) for the last 6 years. Cliff is a pleasure with work with – always helpful and super responsive! This year we had a wonderful stay at The Last Puzzle Piece. The location is perfect with easy access to the beach! We loved the open, spacious floorplan. We especially enjoyed time spent (day & night) on the covered porch – quality deck furniture & spectacular ocean views/sounds. We did want to provide some constructive feedback for the owner (the reasons for our 4-star rating). We are hoping this feedback is especially helpful here at the beginning of the summer rental season where these minor improvements can benefit future guests this summer: ** A deep cleaning is needed throughout the condo. Under beds was found to be very dirty, dusty including some trash and a sock. Several kitchen drawers had dirty grimy residue – especially at the back of drawers. ** Kitchen could use a reset (organization): like items were scattered in multiple locations, pots & containers had no matching lids. ** Only one pool pass (my understanding is there is supposed to be two – so a replacement may need to be obtained for future guests). ** Sectional sofa appears to have had a good life but is nearing retirement. All minor issues – none of which impacted our amazing week on OIB. Thank you, Cliff!

    The location was perfect! Most of the house is perfect. The beds could use some upgrading to make them more comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The keyless entry lock should be moved from the bedroom door to the main entrance door. The way the keyless entry lock it is currently located on a bedroom door that opens to the outside makes it inconvenient for those staying in that bedroom because there is constant traffic through the bedroom when the doors are locked. When all the doors are locked, the only way to get inside is through the keyless entry lock on the bedroom door. If the keyless entry lock was placed on the main door instead of the bedroom door, there would be no traffic thru the bedroom.

    To start, the front door was NOT locked when we arrived. The condo was not real clean, the rugs needed to be cleaned or replaced. The bathrooms could stand some updates. With toddler grandchildren there, it is important that it be very clean. We will not rent this unit again unless changes are made.

    this is a great place to stay plenty of room for my family. the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we had to bring our own linen, that was a lot of trouble for me. I am accustomed to having linen supplied at the place I am staying with beds fully maid. But other than that great place to stay. very close to the beach.

    Great place. Well stocked and very clean. The only improvement would be to put dark out shades or curtains in front two bedrooms. Lights are very bright.
