Getting Around:
Walking is the best way to get around in the downtown New Orleans area and when you get tired, rideshare (Uber/Lift/KrewCar) and taxis are generally readily available. Or hop on one of our famous streetcars to see two major routes throughout the city. The St. Charles Ave. streetcars are Green and head away from downtown on St. Charles Ave, into the Garden District, where you will see the beautifully maintained mansions, passing Loyola and Tulane Universities, Audubon Park, and the Audubon Zoo. Red Streetcars travel along Canal Blvd. from the Mississippi River out to City Park. The streetcars are cash only, unless you buy a pass.
The Hop on Hop off tour busses circulate around some of the more popular areas of downtown and offer pickup every 30 minutes.
The Algiers Ferry is a fun way to get across the river. It runs from Canal Street to Algiers throughout the day. Algiers is small and very walkable. Enjoy a quick bite to eat or just enjoy walking through the historic houses.

Bicycle rentals are also a great way to get around and can be rented from various locations throughout downtown. There are bike rental options like Blue Bike with multiple locations throughout the city and tour companies that have guided bike tours.

    We came to town for a convention. It was only a ten minute walk to the Center. There is a bar, The Little Easy, downstairs which was great to stop in and have a cocktail. The unit is a great size, was stocked with everything we needed.Definitely would stay again and would recommend.

    My first thought when booking a VRBO is, what are the pictures not showing me? With this property, what you see is what you get, and then some. Beautiful rooms, well appointed kitchen, everything you could need right at hand, it was perfect. Barbara was very attentive during booking and check-in, and let me know of an event happening down the street during our stay that we might want to check out. The location is convenient to parking, a trolley stop, and a great bar downstairs for drinks and food before calling it quits for the night. You won't regret this stay!

    Great location, very clean and in a quiet area. Walkable to Bourbon Street, but it is also convenient to the streetcar stop. I love sitting out on the balcony. I highly recommend!

    This property was amazing as was the host. Communication was excellent. All pros! Barbara and Candace are the best. They even let us complete a pick up grocery order and had our fridge and pantry stocked and ready to roll. The location is right across from the St Charles trolley stop and there is bountiful parking in every direction only steps away. We will stay here every single time. Thank you all so much.
