Set back in the woods on the shore of Lake Michigan, just off of beautiful M-22, we are located only three miles south of Leland and historic Fishtown. The entire Leelanau Peninsula is easily accessible from the Jolli-Lodge. The closest winery is across the street, with over 20 more - plus breweries and distilleries - just minutes away. Both casual and fine dining are nearby. The world renowned Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore begins just a few miles south of the lodge, the ferry to the Manitou Islands is within 5 minutes, and Traverse City is a beautiful 30 minute drive away. Plenty of boutique shopping is available in Leland, Northport, Glen Arbor and Suttons Bay. Golf, fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, boating, shopping and relaxing are all popular activities with our guests. Quiet hours are from 11 pm - 9 am and are strictly enforced so that all of our guests can enjoy the peaceful tranquility of our lakeside property. No parties, please.
We love Lake Michigan! Because our property is located extremely close to the shoreline, we are very careful about our waste water output. Our occupancy maximums for each unit are carefully calculated with this in mind and are strictly enforced. When making your reservations with us, all members of your group must be counted toward your total number of guests. This includes children and infants of any age/size. Any parties in excess of the occupancy limits as set forth on our website may be subject to cancellation without refund.
The Jolli-Lodge is the original Lake Michigan resort - we’ve been hosting guests to the Leelanau Peninsula for 65 years! All guests of the Jolli-Lodge have access to the beaches, lawns, and recreational areas of the resort - including the ping-pong table, newly redone tennis/basketball area, playground, playhouse, tire swing, shuffleboard court, soccer field, and horseshoes game. Open to all of our guests is the main lodge building, which houses our front desk/office and gift shop/commissary, and where coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available 24/7. Jolli-Lodge guests frequently gather around the grand piano, original stone fireplace, and large flat screen TV in the main lodge living room. We have a diverse lending library, board games, and puzzles in the lodge as well. The spacious porch is an iconic, “up north” classic that looks out over the beautiful Lake Michigan vista and is open to all of our guests. The Jolli-Lodge paddle boards, kayaks, paddle boats, and fleet of bikes in all shapes and sizes are available for guest use at no charge. We provide free firewood for fireplaces and bonfires. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. We are family friendly, but we also have plenty of space for peace and quiet. Our family has lived on-site since 1956, and we are always on hand to answer questions, give local advice, and share our stories - we have plenty! The main office is staffed daily for your convenience.
Excellent experience. Have rebooked for next year.
The Crib at the Jolli Lodge was wonderful. Exactly what we were looking for. Great location, quiet at night, fun things to do on property and nearby. It’s the perfect Michigan getaway.
We recently stayed in 'The Crib' rental. The direct views of Lake Michigan are unbelievable. Very comfortable beds. The wi-fi worked great. We loved building fires in the fireplace. We wished we had discovered 'Jolli-Lodge' when our children were younger. There are so many things for children and adults with the access to bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, pingpong, shuffle board, tennis, out door fires. The location is close to the 'Sleeping Bear Dunes' park for hikes, wineries, Sutton Bay, FishTown and Traverse City, but with the peace and quiet. We will definitley be back, hopefully with the grandchildren :)
Very quaint, well run property. Hope to return someday!
We loved our stay at the Jolli Lodge! The view is absolutely gorgeous. The bed and couch were comfortable, there were proper accommodations in the kitchen, and we loved building fires at night. I especially appreciated how easy-going and friendly the owners and staff are. The only opportunity for improvement that I noticed was the general age of the lodge... it was established decades ago and you do get the feel that it hasn't been updated a whole lot in its lifetime... That being said, if you enjoy the authentic feel of stepping back in time and can appreciate the rustic beauty of a Northern Michigan lodge, this is the place for you!
Exactly as noted, with all places right on Lake Michigan. Comfy cozy. Only issues, uneven areas on property( loose pavers, etc) and wood provided just would not stay lit, but not wet.
