Islander Family Studio 137, Ground Floor, Steps to Pool and Beach

Check-in was smooth as well as check-out. List of easy instructions to follow, nice little gift, and quick responses from staff members about any issue. My family and I ran into a little issue at night, and they were quick to respond and send someone as soon as they could to resolve the problem. I would hands down book this spot again when I go back.

It was excellent location.Walking to lots of different restaurants in other hotels and the beach. The bathroom was a little musty smelling, so I had to buy a plugin

Excellent location with nearby shops and food. The property is beautifully well maintained. The unit itself could use some facelift. The shower was not clean upon our arrival.

Parking was easy, air conditioned wasn’t as cold as we thought it could be. Room wasn’t very clean, the closet had a lot of sand in t. The bathroom even had some feces on the floor, and the dishes were wet, like they were just rinsed and put away.

Absolutely perfect location. Amenities were terrific, staff helpful and host thought of every possible item you might need during the stay. We look forward to returning!

The user rating of 10 is not accurate. Is more like 7-8. Outdated furniture, rusty air conditioning. Cockroaches in the room.

The location was perfect- steps to the beach and pool, and the market place. It was a perfect stay for our family

It was a good location. Pretty area. Nice unit. However, I reached out to management for issues with roaches, the latch on the patio door was broken and no horizontal bar for security, lock on bathroom door didn't work, women's hair in the bathroom (we were all males). The light in the pool was broken when we got there and was never fixed the entire stay. The only thing that was fixed was a slow drain. If the unit was maintained as it should, it would be great. Also, the shrubbery in front blocks the view. As a suggestion, they should have the plants or the tree, but not both. Lots of potential though.

Wonderful location and beautiful beach!

Over all it was a nice place. Lots of things around the area. Provided us with all the amenities needed. Easy check in and check out! Only thing the fan didn’t turn on only the light since the remote for the fan wasn’t working but it wasn’t a big deal.

Great location, close to the beach, the pool and shopping centers.

Great location! The ground unit made it a breeze to walk to the ocean for our morning coffee a s evening walks. It’s very close to the pool area, which has a great little happy hour and outdoor bar. The unit had everything we needed including beach chairs and boogie boards plus a nice little ice chest Will definitely stay here again!

Pool was refreshing and hot tub was hot enough. Lava Lava beach club restaurant is in walking distance. Overall a great stay cation while home for spring break

We enjoyed our stay overall as the location was amazing ! When we emailed the property manager we got a response fairly quickly and they addressed our issues with the exception of a very slow draining sink in the kitchenette. We managed but dishes would have been easier with a properly draining sink I would absolutely recommend this property and will definitely be back if we are back on Kauai !

Hats off to landscaping guys. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Location is perfect. Room provided everything we needed. Lovely stay.

Great location, right next to the beach .

I enjoy the stay. Just one thing that need to be corrected, the shower curtain smells bad. I know that Hawaii humidity is high and makes everything slows to dries up. Good thing Kristen provide a spray bottle of Clorox under the sink that I use to eliminate the odor.

Great location

The door code we were given wasn’t correct, so we had to use the phone at the reception to call the after hours number (this was just after 4pm, so check in time, strange that check in time is not within normal office hours). Luckily they were able to provide the right code so we could get in.The studio is smaller then the pictures show and smelled terrible. The smell was moldy in especially the bathroom and cabinet in Living room, but the smell was everywhere. The studio, not condo, was old and everything in it too. Room was small and so were the beds, especially for 2 people. Pool/beach towels provided also smelled and were very old. The bed covers which were also meant to be used as blankets, were dirty and probably not washed in a long time. One bed had sand and dirt on it.The curtain was super old and moldy on the outside. We contacted management about our issue. The did reply early the next morning and offered a refund for the second night so we could change locations. Sadly we didn’t have that option since we had left the property very early in the morning, before the reply and didn’t get back until after dinner. We didn’t have time to find something else and move since we were only staying 2 nights. I hope they will fulfill my question of there was anything else they could offer as compensation.Especially the smell and it being old and not clean sadly took away from our Kauai experience. It didn’t meet any of the other reviewers experiences.

We loved this location and property. The condo was only steps from the pool which was so fun. The condo was a little cramped with two small kids and two adults.

Great location. The studio was clean, and had all that we needed. The beds were comfortable. The room had rather high humidity level, so we would suggest that the owner adds a dehumidifier for both the room and the bathroom to help with this issue. It would also help to have a little better overhead lighting in the room. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and we would book this studio again if the price is right for us.

I stayed in a different condo last year that was much better then thos one. Everything in this unit is old, broken and smelly. eds hard, tv broken, toaster oven broken, cockroach in shower. Clogged drain, plumber haf to come. Not great! Need a lot of love and attention.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was a bit musty. Needs a dehumidifier. Loved the location of room. Less than 1 minute walk to the beach. We will be back.

No main light, it gets really dark in the evening, and difficult to do anything in the kitchen then. Very old apartment. Not really clean either. A lot of sand outside that had not been cleaned. The property was clean and provided a lot of amenities for us to use. We loved the location to view the sunset from the beach each morning and the pool right out the back door to enjoy an evening swim. There were shops just outside the buildings. When I asked the manager a question she was quick to answer. 10/10 would return again!

This place was close to the airport which made it nice for a late arrival time. It was clean and felt comfortable. The location was great to catch a sunrise. The entry way was beautiful because of all the trees and flowers. It wasn’t noisy at all.
