Hyatt Vacation Club At The Welk -Luxury Resort w/ Golf, Pools, Water Parks +more

It was a very nice place and the nearby pool was amazing!

We have stayed multiple times over the years at The Welk Resort in 1,2 & 3 bedroom units. It has always been great. We were disappointed with the kitchen supplies and lack of response from housekeeping. Very unusual. As we age, the parking is more of a challenge. It is a ways away and there are no elevators so pace yourself. Over all the unit was clean, quiet and comfortable. Hoping to stay again.

Excellent accommodations.

We stayed in a 1 bed / 1 bath villa by the Mountain Springs pool with 2 adults and 2 teens. The villa itself is better suited for just 2 people — it felt a bit tight for four. Parking was easy and the resort amenities were great. The property is far from downtown San Diego and the beaches, but you could easily spend your whole trip on site without leaving. A grocery store is about a 10-minute drive away. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with plenty to do. Just note that it operates as a timeshare — all communication is handled through resort staff rather than a direct host once booked. We would stay again.

Great location …. Great communication with Chad, he made sure I had everything I needed for our stay. There was a resort fee that was around 45 per night. But other than that the Family enjoyed the trip and stay!!!

The staff was friendly, room was fine although the bathroom door didn’t shut correctly. The pictures are a bit deceiving. Not as nice and modern as they look. I’d prob stay again tho. VRBO host was super kind, pools were pretty.

The front desk tried to charge us a extra 135 dollars for more fees or whatever, then get to our room and there was NO oven, we were there for my daughter's wedding, we were fixing all the rehearsal dinner food, we were told there we were going to have a oven in our room, to which that wasn't the case, we scrambled and had to make due with a TINY ELECTRIC stove, it took over an hour just to heat up water ! That was pretty upsetting considering our event.There was NO ROOM SERVICE whatsoever, we took our own trash out, got our own towels, the front desk was supposed to call me to correct things, but never heard from them as well ! Also was a little upset with the ridiculous prices, two lunches cost well over 260 plus dollars, and we only ordered like 4-6 beers and two plates one of the days, then the next day we thought we were cutting it back and it was even worse, not to mention the two 7 oz beers at the pool that was over 21 dollars, we were in a pinch on the food end of things, this is why we ate at their bar and grill on the property, so overall rating between 0-5 give it a 3 - wouldn't stay there again.

For the most part, everything was great! The room was very clean and the owner was wonderful with communication. My biggest complaint is that the restaurants and shops on site were often closed for no reason. It was about a 15 minute drive to the closest grocery store and restaurants, which wasn’t a huge deal, just a bit inconvenient at times. The Monday afternoon Farmer’s Market was so much fun. My children also enjoyed the pools and water slides. It was a fun resort for our family this vacation, but next time we’ll probably aim to be a little closer to the beach & restaurants. Beautiful resort

Fun property. Perfect for kids

The resort and villa were great however the pool and rec center closest to our villa were closed for renovations. When I had originally booked I did notice that but at the time it was supposed to be completed by our arrival so I thought it would be fine but it was apparently extended to the end of June. Since we were so far away from everything it made it inconvenient getting to and from a different pool. Also, the shower in the room was terrible. All the fixtures need to be replaced. It was difficult to turn on/off and the diverter didn’t work so water still came out of the faucet when it all should have been diverted to the showerhead and it made the water pressure almost nil. Other than that the location was great, rest of room was awesome and the resort amenities were fantastic.

Condo / timeshare type environment. Room was very nice with all the amenities; washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. Owner was very responsive.

Wonderful family resort. So much to do you never needed to leave!

A little trouble finding our condo in the wee hours of the morning upon check-in, but the staff were terrific, and took the time to lead us there. Perfect spot, just across the street from rec center with pools, water slide, and snack bar. Overlooks the golf course. Short walk to fitness center and Starbucks. All necessary amenities in kitchen. Only downcheck was low toilet for senior knees and grab bars would have been nice. Staff was accomondating on the no-stairs condo. Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our stay. The resort was beautiful, the room was nice, and the pool options were wonderful. The pools with kids were very busy and loud, so we opted for the adult only pool which was nice and relaxing.
