Gorgeous coastal home with full kitchen, close to beach

There is so much potential here but this property was disappointing. It is essentially a ground-floor apartment that is very spacious for two, but it has significant moisture issues that make it very unwelcoming. Paint was literally sliding off the walls in some areas, and the furniture and bedding constantly felt damp, leaving our clothes wet even. Adding to the discomfort of the moisture was the fact that the air conditioning could not be controlled, causing it to be very warm at night and making sleep difficult. It’s such a shame because the mattresses and bedding were quite cozy. Cleanliness was also a major concern. Found a fingernail on the nightstand, the floors were gritty and turned our feet black, and several dishes in the cupboards were noticeably dirty. Strongly recommend washing all dishes before cooking or eating. There also was not enough pots and pans for cooking considering that restaurants on the island close early. There were only 2 bath towels provided and with no washer/dryer on the premises that was not nearly enough for the five days we were there. There was also only one kitchen towel and no dishwasher. With proper maintenance and cleaning, this property could be so much better because the location truly is great.

Key pad/door lock instructions were inaccurate. Had to call several times to get into the unit, and only got in when a very helpful guy named RJ came after a couple of hours to let us in. First three nights were OK, until the other unit guests arrived on Friday evening. They were noisy! We could hear everything they said, knew everything they were doing upstairs, i.e. talking, moving furniture, taking a shower, et! Two of the upstairs guests came to our door the night they arrived and asked if we had air conditioning, we did, but they didn't! Apparently the units were owned by seperate people, so we couldn't help them with who to call. The Georgeous coastal home with full kitchen, close to beach was somewhat misleading because it was without a dishwasher, no ice cube trays, and three blocks to the beach access point. And it was a duplex! No insulation! We decided to cut our vaca short and left on Saturday morning due to the noisy situation. Never again!

It was a great stay. We only had one issue turning down the A/C and property management had someone come to the house within 25 minutes.
