Stayed Jul 14, 2024Mountain Air is a beautiful community in the Appalachian Mountains. This property is a fire safety hazard. All windows are jammed or painted shut. By law, windows must operate in bedrooms if the window serves as a second egress. This issue was brought to the host's attention. Their response was rather trite: no other renter has ever had this issue. There was zero customer service. The host is rude and unwilling to work with their renters. The unit has no window treatments on the living room sliding door that egresses to the deck. There is zero privacy in the main area, including the kitchen. As well, there is no screen on the sliding glass door, and of course, no windows operate. You must enjoy the air-conditioned environment versus the fresh mountain air. The unit has been updated, including the flooring and woodwork. However, it is sparsely appointed, with no furniture in the bedrooms other than a nightstand. Appliances are low quality and very loud when operating, including the dishwasher, washer, and dryer.

Stayed Nov 22, 2022The location is spectacular. We hiked every day plus used the gas fireplace to warm up! So cozy! The place is pretty sparse with supplies. No hairdryer, no spices but not plenty of cooking utensils and pots. If you absolutely need something, make sure you bring it.
