First floor oceanfront condo in Ocean Dunes!

The location of the property was nice, right on the beach, easy to get to. The property itself was fair at best. The beds in each room were awful, folded like a taco as soon as you lied down. The refrigerator would not get cold. The property management said give it a day and see if stabilizes - it didn't. They offered us a cooler of ice, the spare unit was not available (?!) The furniture is dated and the unit looks like it could you a good cleaning and a new coat of paint at a minimum. To top it off, I received an email and voice message the following week after the stay that bed bugs were found in the unit and wanted us to be aware! Fortunately, we didn't bring any home with us! I'm not sure where the fault lies - the owners, the management company or both. I will definitely stay in the Kure Beach area again, but this property will not be on my list to stay.

Yerby was the best set up for us and our kids and in the perfect location to access the beach, outdoor pool AND indoor pool! The deck chairs allowed us to sit and see the ocean with looking through the bars of the railing.Only suggestions we had - Guest queen mattress does need replaced, and one of the deck chairs is in need of repair.Otherwise, I can’t wait to be back in Summer of ‘24 (summer of 23 is with my in-laws and this is a Miller family tradition ❤️)

Reviewer Comments: Positives: Location (Directly on the beach!)Areas of Improvement: While the description says linens will be provided, we did not expect to make up our own beds upon arrival. Also, you will want to bring ALL the basics and some to make your stay comfortable. For example, if planning on bringing anything with you that will result in trash, you will want to bring trash bags as only one trash bag was provided in the main trash can. Also, no dish soap is provided and only 1 dishwasher tablet provided. Also bring own laundry detergent, as there is no detergent at all provided in the property. All in all, if had known the extent of packing of basic essentials that would need to be done to stay in this property (used to staying in vacation rentals that are very accommodating), we may have resorted to looking into a different property. However, can't deny that the location is perfect!

You can't get any closer to the water, and with this being an end unit, the boardwalk to the beach was right next to us- you're down to the beach in seconds. The unit was clean, but the kitchen is understocked - not a lot of large serving platters or bowls, limited on kitchen utensils, toaster was not working and television in living room and master bedroom was not working, which was no big deal as we weren't in the unit all that much.

Reviewer Comments: 2nd year staying at this location and will be back - we like the quiet of this area and easy access to the beach - Unit needs some small updates but it fit our needs - had one issue with the main sliding door and maintenance came out very quick to see if this could be fixed - door was almost impossible to open - was not fixed during our stay so we used the bedroom doors which was a bit of an inconvenience but we made do - overall, great time with my family for relaxation and reflection of a busy year -

Our family loves this beach, very laid back and safe for our teenagers to hang out and walk to the peer with no worries. The condo was located right on the beach and had easy access to the beach, we will be back!

Pros: awesome location (oceanfront), plenty of seating in den, main floor unit (not as many stairs), clean pools. Cons: matresses are very hard (seem cheap); sliding doors almost impossible to open. My 80yr old Dad had a very hard time. NO ICE MAKER in freezor! In the year 2021, I expect to have an ice maker!! Thank you for the opportunity to stay :)
