DR 2103 - Beautifully updated condo with pool, tennis, and elevator

Floors had ground in dirt and no mop in the condo. The hot water had not been used apparently in a couple months so until we drained the hot water tank, the whole house smelled horribly of Sulphur. The handle for the door to the balcony can't be used requiring you to remember to open and close another way. There was no bracket to hold the base of the shower door to the tub and the door came off while a child was in the tub but fortunately missed him. So a few issues for the price.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location right on the beach with a huge resort like pool(although even in early September it was uncomfortably cold). Condo itself is in need of some TLC - tired decor with peeling paint on the patio and patio door locked with a piece of wood, master shower needs replacing. Needs bug screens on the patio doors. Microwave broke and was not fixed while we were there and our call to customer service regarding an additional out of season parking pass was never returned. Very slow unsecure wireless so prepare to use your own hotspots. Definitely in need of updating.

We waited 2 years to come on vacation so we were happy with the accommodations. Thankfully, the weather cooperated!

Greater than our expectations. It is more spacious than pictures. Very clean. Beds were comfortable, but we always take foam pads so not sure how they would be without pads. Kitchen had all cooking utensils, plates, glassware, silverware, cups and wine glasses. Nice full size washer/dryer. Next time we'll take fewer clothes and beach towels. View from balcony was mostly dunes and ocean, very little of beach, but being located on 1st level meant a short walk to pool and quick access to parking lot. The facility is very secure with entry pads into building and gate for beach access. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles, but public parking is a short walk next to property. 25 dollars a day 9 am to 7 pm and free from 7 to 9. All in all, without getting really picky this is a great place to take your family. I booked the same week next year!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was roomier than the pictures appear. Great locations, property is in good shape!

Since we visited late in September, we wished the pool were heated - it was very chilly on some days. The living and dining room furniture was great for a large group. There are a few weird things that are helpful to know - there is no secure wifi and no hair dryer. We travel 6 months a year and this is the first time in years that we were lacking these. The initial supplies were slim to none. No dish soap, no salt & pepper, no initial packet of coffee. There is a wonderful Harris Teeter nearby and Costo and Walmart are within 10 miles. The sheets and towels are left in sealed plastic bags, so expect to make your bed when you arrive. The complex does not have grills. We had a great time during our stay and would likely seek out this unit again when we next visit Wrightsville.

Kitchen faucet broke shortly after checkin and it took several tries to reach maintenance; however, maintenance person stayed late and replaced with new faucet. 2 of 3 remotes in main room didn't have batteries and TV input wasn't set to cable box so it took some effort to get tv in main room to work properly. Cable receiver remote in master bedroom never worked even after swapping out batteries. No trash bags, replacement paper towels, dish soap was practically empty, etc. Minor details that can make big difference in overall experience.
