Welcome to your own hideaway in our lovely mountain town! Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is just over half a mile away, perfect for guests looking to enjoy powder! Winter guests can also enjoy Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and Timberline Lodge and Ski Area, both within seven-and-a-half miles. The hikers of the group will love being within 11 miles of Mt. Hood National Forest, as well as its trails right across the street. You’re also within a short distance of the Mirror Lake Trailhead, Glacier View Trailhead, Powerlines Trail, and so much more.
Take a load off in front of the gas fireplace or set up a board game at the window side table - there's plenty of seating for everyone to relax. If you're arriving in time for dinner, fire up the private gas grill out on the balcony and enjoy a wide view of the forest. Throw your trail socks in the private washer/dryer, then sink into a bath in the main bathroom's soaking tub. The full kitchen is full of useful tools when you’re ready to cook, including a range hood, warming drawer, and full-size dishwasher. There are plenty of wine glasses for anyone who wants some bubbly and a breakfast bar perfect for quick pre-skiing breakfasts in the morning. Escape to the loft for a true ski cabin experience - though younger guests of the group will enjoy relaxing in the bunk room. Loved our time at this place. The open layout was great to hangout and watch tv, play games, do puzzles and eat family meals at the big table. We hope to come again!
Wonderful home ! Loved the garage parking area. Absolutely beautiful place.
This condo is roomy, located next to a walking trail and hiking trails are just across the street. Quite a bit darker inside than pictured. Seems like a good place for winter guests. Like everything in Government Camp the highway noise is not exactly peaceful.
Spacious condo that was reasonably well equipped. There were a few things we did notice, however. The condo is too dark....there needs to be better and brighter lighting, especially in the main living room. The existing lights need to be brighter as well, since window light is somewhat limited. There were also a few bulbs burned out ( under the kitchen counter cabinets, and over the dining table ). The carpeting and kitchen rugs were dirty ( obvious stains ).....needing shampooing, cleaning, or replacement. The chairs in the dining room are too low for the table....either the table needs to be lowered, or higher chairs are needed. We were unable to find any kitchen aluminum foil and cling wrap....2 items that should be in every rental. The various TV remotes ( 4 of them ) had no instructions as to their operation...it was all trial and error in term of figuring out their operation and function. One other note is the unusual entrance to the building....either through the main garage doors in front, or through the somewhat hidden small doors at either end of the building. There seems to be no standard walk-in entrance most buildings this size generally have. We did have a little problem locating the proper parking stall due to the poor signage and low lighting level in the garage...they really need stall numbers painted on the floor, not the small signs unlit on the walls.
Great house! The trail around the lake is lovely and we spent A LOT of time at the heated pool.
Need folder with information about the house and area around. Four remotes for the TV with no information on how to use. No rules posted on the lodge complex and hot tub use.
This place was the perfect spot for two families.
We had such a great time at this property and can't wait to come back! Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, etc. The only thing to add would be some Kleenex and more towels. Other than that it was very clean, spacious and we had a wonderful mom's weekend away to ski and catch up, which we do not get to do often. We will be back!
Lovely condo & complex, pool & hot tub a big plus
perfect location and great accomodations! We've rented before and will do again in this location! Just please let guests know what FLOOR the unit is on before check-in. Our unit was 32 i believe so we presumed 3rd floor, but it wasnt and we wandered around aimlessly for a while. Also TV in main room didnt really work/have instructions but no bother as we didnt ultimately need it! Not being able to turn on A/C or have thermostat go below 72 made for slightly hot nights with air flow inside, but opened windows helped.
