Cottonwood Condo 1413 - Remodeled Near Historic Sun Valley Lodge and Ice Rink

Working with the Alpine team was seamless and easy. The place was in a great location and close to all of the Sun Valley action. Nice place, comfortable and perfect for a short trip to SV.

The condo was very clean. Comfortable beds and nice linens.

Newer updates of a Cottonwood condo’s adjacent to Sun Valley Inn amenities. Check in and prior communication with Alpine Lodging is always positive. Plenty of room for 4-6 people. Exceptionally clean!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful stay at cottonwood 1413 for 1 month with our family (4 years old, 2 years old + 2 parents). To get to the unit had to climb 1 set of internal stairs and at entry of unit had convenient place for shoes and storage outside of unit. On first floor of unit was 1 bedroom/bathroom, kitchen, living and dining. 2nd floor is a large master, 3rd bedroom with bathtub and laundry. While place is older, unit has everything one needs and can tell the owners are replacing things such a nice comfy couch, plates and mugs, tvs (though we spend all our time outside). During our stay, owners replaced the master bed and pillows so all are new. On main floor is a place to park bikes and outside the 2 decks are lovely trees and views of nature. As we stayed during the summer, days were long and I added suction cup black out curtains to the bedroom windows to make them darker. Unit comes with access to SV pools which we loved! Would stay at unit again and appreciative of Alpine Lodge and owners help during our stay.

Do not believe the condition of this unit as described by the owner! There description of this home as remodeled is completely false advertising. From research, i believe this unit was built around 1970 and is mostly original. The furnishings are of lower quality and condition than one would find in a motor hotel next to a Freeway. DO NOT confuse this home with anything you would expect to find on campus at a nice resort like Sun Valley. This home has nothing to do with the Resort. The microwave worked but the cover came off in my hand when using, the front panel of the dishwasher was hanging off the machine when we checked in. The carpet was much worse condition than my college dorm. Upon check in we were given a printed instruction regarding cooling the home since it does not have AC, the instruction was to close every curtain and blind at dawn to keep out the sunlight all day, this would have been possible if multiple rooms were not missing blinds on the windows which left the home unbearably hot until midnight when it was cool enough outside to cool down inside. If you are traveling with your college roomates and looking for a super low quality place you can crash and party after a long day of skiing then this place is perfect. if you care at all about the condition of the home or the furnishings or cleanliness.... i would look elsewhere!

It is a perfect, quiet area across from the Sun Valley Resort. We stay at one of the condos there every year.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were in town for the Sun Valley Writers Conference located on the grounds of the Sun Valley Lodge/Village. Cottonwood 1413 was a perfect location! The beds and linens were very comfortable and the main bedroom was very large. The living space and furniture that are pictured in the photos do not match the actual living/dining rooms. The arrangement of the furnishings is awkward and the TV is not located in the living space. The sofa, chairs and pillows are different than what is shown in the photos. The deck furniture cushions were ripped and tattered. I reported the discrepancy to Alpine Lodging between what they market as the interior of the condo and what is reality. They acted surprised that the photos didn't match and offered a discount for a future stay. We would like a discount for our actual stay for the misrepresentation.
