We had a wonderful time on our fourth trip to Bear Lake Reserve. The property's location in Saddle Notch Village can't be beat due to its close proximity to the clubhouse. We found the price to be very fair and we love that our dog can tag along. The owners are very communicative and the fresh bread they left for us was a fun surprise. While the rest of the condo was very clean, we unfortunately found mouse droppings and urine on the couch. We notified the owners and were a little bummed that it wasn't taken care of while we were there, which is why we felt we had to rate cleanliness as a 3/5.Aside from this one issue, our trip was fantastic and we can't wait to return to Bear Lake next year We truly appreciate the owners' hospitality and for sharing their beautiful property with us.

This was our second time visiting BRL and we had an amazing trip. The location of the condo was ideally located close to the lake and club house. Would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed fantastic weather and the awesome resort amenities on this trip. The home was clean and comfortable, and check-in was a breeze. Wifi worked great in the apartment and public areas, but we had forgotten that our cell phone plan does not permit wifi calling, so we just used texts. The reserve roads were a bit interesting with our mini-van but we managed. The apartment is close on the map, but too far to walk to the lake club facilities, given the hills. The drive was about 5 minutes. I would not want to drive around too much at night. Be sure to check directions in advance and note that you need to stop at the greeter's cottage, which is at the very entrance to the whole reserve, when checking in. The view from the back balcony/patio area of the apartment was thick forest, and we enjoyed hearing the stream and taking the short (steep) hike from the door of the apartment. We also enjoyed several other hikes on the property, which being 6 months pregnant were a bit ambitious but doable for me. The reserve itself seems well-managed and staffed. We rented canoes to go around the lake, which was fairly chill. There were a few other families staying at the same time, but nothing ever felt crowded. We saw one bear, not far from the apartment, but he quickly moved away. The reserve staff had already discussed bear safety during check-in. We had a fantastic (if pricey) dinner one night in the restaurant, and got some tasty non-alcoholic drinks from the poolside bar. The sandy beach was small but adequate, and the lake was so peaceful. Plenty of sun loungers available. At the end of our stay, I reported a couple issues with the property and the manager said she would address them promptly. I'd recommend asking before or during your stay if issues come up or if you have specific needs, since she is on-site and eager to please. We loved the fresh baked bread left for our arrival! Hoping to be back some time for the fall colors and to use the hot tub (it was too warm during this stay). Overall, this rental is a great value compared to others I researched in the area, especially given all the amenities to enjoy.

Great stay in the condo in the Bear Lake Reserve. Too cold to golf but there are some nice hiking trails and the views from the Overlook are incredible. The condo was clean and nicely furnished. A couple of things to prepare for. The drive from the greeter's cottage is about 25 minutes so bring what you need so you don't have to make too many runs to the store. Also, this is a bottom unit and if the units above are occupied, you may hear some footsteps. The owner, Debbie surprised us with delicious sour dough bread. Communication with her was great. Many thanks Debbie for letting us borrow your condo. We had a great time.

We were at Bear Lake Reserve for my niece’s wedding and the condo was the perfect place for the weekend. It offered a great place to relax in between the festivities. The condo was just as pictured on the website and the views were amazing. Our contact for the weekend was very responsive and helpful and even had fresh bread waiting for us on arrival. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This was our first time to Bear Lake Reserve and we were blown away at this hidden gem. The condo was beautiful, clean, quiet, and close to the Lake Club and pool. We enjoyed lazy mornings sitting on the porch and afternoons at the lake and pool. We can't wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Bear Lake. Although it was quite rainy, we still managed to find activities. Our children had fun swimming at the pools on property and we drove to both Cashiers and Highlands while we were there. The condo is very close to the clubhouse so that was a plus! Bring your groceries with you though, as it is quite a long (and winding) drive to town! We can’t wait to come back.

This is our 4th year at Bear Lake Reserve and it did not disappoint. There are so many things to do here including swimming, renting boats/kayaks/canoes, hiking, tennis, pickleball, golf, etc. The clubhouse includes nice amenities such as two pools, hot tubs, restaurants, poolside food/bar, pool table, shuffle board, ping pong table, mini movie theater, coffee shop, etc. The condo is clean and well-stocked. We loved the location because it is a short walk or drive to the clubhouse. We also love this particular condo location because we typically see a mom and cubs when we stay at the condos on Saddle Notch Lane. We would definitely stay at this condo again and will be back in the future.
