Coastal Oasis: Steps from Pool, Gated Haven

This unit is basic and not well kept. It was one of the cheapest options but as they say in life, you get what you pay for. This is the fifth or sixth property we’ve stayed at in the Plantation, and all have been great (except for this one.) This place was not well cleaned before we arrived and the screen door to the porch was off the tracks and just leaning across the glass window. We had to call and have it repaired. They did repair it. As for the cleanliness,, there was a huge stain on the carpet near the front door. The cleaning staff could not have missed it. Disgusting, really. And there were dirty tissues and pieces of food underneath the couch. There was also a pile of dirt in the master bedroom closet, which was obscured by the laundry basket. When we lifted up the laundry basket, we could see this pile of dirt. It looked like someone had swept and then just put put it into the closet. I would also say that the plates and bowls and other accessories in the kitchen were of very low quality. Almost like they bought all the stuff at a yard sale. Lastly, a lot of these units have beach chairs that you can use and other things that you might need for the beach. This property had none of them and of course we got an email after we booked offering to rent us this stuff. You should rent a unit that has beach chairs, etc that you can borrow. Less hassle.The location is good and a short walk to the beach. Of course, any of the condos on Beachwood are close to the beach.

Location was excellent, and condo was comfortable and had items as advertised. It was a beautiful setting among the trees…very pleasant sitting on the balcony.

The place was amazing but the bedroom floor was not totally cleaned. There was stuff on floor where bed was in my room and some stuff / trash left in bed room drawer. Only one roll of TP in bathrooms which was kinda lame. Besides this the place was represented well and was comfortable.

We recently had a 6 night stay at this property. The process to check in was easy and the property management company were very good and responsive communicators. They also provide a good website with a lot of information that helped us explore which included good restaurants. The overall property is dated, but has had recent updates such as bed rooms and bedding (very comfortable beds) furniture in the living and dining areas. The bathrooms are dated but clean and everything works with plenty of linen etc. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Couple of things to know - the unit is in a wooded area so the unit is dark when the sun is not shining or at night, there are plenty of lights; WiFi (xfinity service) is slow if streaming including through the cable box using Apps - we gave up eventually. It was faster to use our own Apps via our tablets. The cable is general cable (basic) very few channels. If staying with larger group, the living area has minimal furniture (sofa and 2 small chairs) and the balcony is quite small (accommodates 2 people). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Amelia Island and Omni Resort property is lovely and we found plenty to do outside and there are many really good restaurants in Fernandina Beach.

What a wonderful time! Weather was still warm enough to enjoy the beach and the condo was just as described ! The property was close to restaurants, shops and of course the beach . Will definitely be back!

Home was very comfortable and in a great location. Not a huge deal, but I'd recommend that the sliding glass doors be replaced. It is difficult to open and close and the glass is foggy so it takes away from the view of the outside and the pool. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, easy access to pool and beach. Unit was clean and spacious. Everything from the booking to checkout went smoothly. Unit provides most everything you need. Unit doesn’t have a lot of tv channels or a DVD player. If you have small kids you may want to bring some games if you get a rainy day. Being a beach vaca we were not in the unit until evening and 1 morning due to weather. We were glad the Olympics were on. We will not hesitate to recommend this unit to others!

A great rental for a much needed family vacation! Short walk to the beach and very quiet property. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was a lifesaver! We also rented a golf cart and was able to enjoy the huge property even more. We would definitely recommend and hope to return again!
