Coastal Cove is a 3 bedroom condo with inspiring front row sea sights, sounds, and experiences. The complex is equipped with its own communal large pool and your own private beach access to make our guests time beach-combing and sun-seeking an Ocean BREEZE!

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach,Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Because we are in fact a true island, our maximum capacity and restricted parking options will always limit the number of visitors who can both rent on and visit our Island simultaneously! It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and moderate walking distance to downtown and everything that it has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a large inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

Coastal Cove beach condo suite unit 1F opens up to a layout consisting of three comfortable bedrooms one (1) King in the master, another (1) King in the second bedroom, and one (1) Queen bed in the third bedroom. 1 set of the following will be made on a per bed/per person basis to help you be comfortable on your adventure! Bed sheets (fitted/flat set), bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning rags, pillowcases, bathmats and kitchen towels. Laundering or extra sets are not an available service regrettably. Please make sure all used linens are placed in one location in the home at departure. Please let all BED LINENS remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! A kitchen rests just off the living room and dining area while the entirety of the condo overlooks a panoramic expanse of our Atlantic Ocean. The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). 1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed!

The living room boasts a large sliding door where you can watch the pelicans roost and waves crash without moving an inch. A TV and WIFI connection will ensure you stay briefly connected with the outside world before heading back to hunt for the perfect shell.

Guest access

The POOL: The SHARED onsite pool and communal beach access are available for all guests to use.

The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with the respective decks, patios, and balcony, and private beach access.

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (1) ONE assigned parking space.

Interaction with guests

I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)

Neighborhood description

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The home itself is a short drive from down town Carolina Beach with its shops, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as charming down town Kure Beach. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday night, Movies at the lake each Sunday night, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning.

Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

Getting around

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

Carolina Beach

•The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COM-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

Kure Beach

Parking is enforced March 15 – Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking rates are $5 per hour. Visitors may purchase a day pass for $20, weekly pass for $100 or full season pass for $225.

GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.

• SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience.

•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork!

•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

    Our family of five stayed here for a week. Super easy check in/out, condo was as described in listing. The beds were comfortable, ample room to relax and the corner porch was huge!

    My family and I (5 adults, 1 toddler) had an amazing time at this spot! Great for kids and families. Had everything you could possibly need and want for a beach vacation. Pool was very nice. Front deck overlooking the ocean was our favorite place to hang out. We were very impressed. Dale had great communication too. We will definitely be booking here again!

    A group of three sisters, ages in our sixties and seventies. We liked that the beach was so close to the end of our bridge across the seagrasses. The unit was comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed. The balcony was great! No shops or restaurants were walkable for the one of us with mobility limitations. We had a lot of trouble getting the key box open, even watching the host's how-to video. Then when we got in, we learned that we had to put the sheets on the beds ourselves. The only other negative was the harsh checkout rules. You and your vehicle must be out by 10 or get fined. Dumpsters were full with no room for garbage. There were just a lot of picky check-out rules that meant we had to do the cleaner's job. It left us with a bad taste at the end of our mini-vaca.

    End of summer hurrah with a mom and 5 teenage girls. Condo was exactly as described. Plenty of room for us all. Very spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. It’s is an older remodeled condo that was VERY well done. Location was perfect for us. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

    We enjoyed our stay at this condo! Definitely looks as pictured and described. The location was great. The only thing I would say is that the condo could use a deep clean…there were some areas that could use some extra love such as the patio floor, bathroom sinks, and some of the kitchen cups, plates, etc. However, this did not take away from enjoying the spot.

    This place was very clean. I loved how the linens were included in the price. I like the direct beach access which was amazing for our family. I did not like how the reservation does not include a beach locker room. I did ask about that once we arrived, but I was advised there is one; however, the beach locker is only for the condo owner. Having kids with lots of toys and a beach wagon- this was not ideal for us having to carry the wagon and toys up and down the stairs every time we went to the beach and was coming back. There is an outside closet once you enter the condo; however, this closet isn't available either for storage due to unknown reason that were not documented. With no access to even that closet forced us to leave our wagon and toys outside. There is a closet in the master bedroom; however, a sign on it says do not open. This definitely limited our space to store our clothes. We ended up having to share closets with our kids. Overall very beautiful place, but definitely not ideal for my family for this stay or future unless access to the closets were made available for guests.
