Chic Modern Condo Hotel Suite on the Beach

Beautiful modern. Had everything.

Relatively new property. Clean and spacious hotel/condo accommodations as compared to standard hotel rooms which no longer work for our family of four with adult college kids. 2 bedrooms/2 baths/Full kitchen/Living room, and balcony facing Mandalay avenue. TV's in both bedrooms and the living room. Courteous staff, particularly Fernando. We took Uber to ALDI for basic grocery needs. You really do not need a car here. You can walk to Pier 60, the marina, restaurants, etc.. The beach is right behind the property. Beach front food joints are within walking distance. Try Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar, and Frenchy's Rockaway Grill. Clean crystal white sand and emerald green waters, unlike the seaweed infested beaches on the Atlantic coast. You pay resort fees here, but this is not a resort in terms of folks carrying your chairs and umbrellas to the beach for you, and bringing you exquisite libations on demand. Chairs and umbrellas are complimentary but you do beast of burden duties yourself. I found the sandbars in the water here quite interesting. You can be relatively far from the shore, indeed past the swimming limit buoys, and still be only knee deep in the water. Not sure whether those sandbars are natural, or man-made. I walked on the beach from Pier 60, passed Caladesi island, to Hurricane Pass where I could see Honeymoon Beach on the other side of the pass. A total of a little more than 10 miles both ways. This is to say that this is quite a stretch of beach.

Beds are comfortable a big plus for me. Property was clean and staff was nice.

This place was fantastic! Highly recommend! Excellent amenities, beautiful property, great pool with food and drinks at reasonable prices, and good gym. The location was excellent. Right on the beach and able to walk to bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Property was amazing! People were great, very centrally located. The only thing that was inaccurate was the bed descriptions. It was actually 1 queen and 2 full size beds, which isn’t great for a family of 6. Especially when your 3 teen boys are bigger than the adults- Not enough space. Other than that, if we didn’t have all 6 of us, we’d definitely stay again.

The room was very clean and comfy. Loved the location, walked everywhere, convenient to many restraunts, shops, and pier 60. The welcomr desk was amazing, the ladies made us feel so welcome.

Management was friendly and helpful. Place was clean and location could not have been better. Will definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at The Avalon! The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of — they were extremely helpful and accommodating from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again!

Location was great, facility was clean and employees were very kind and helpful. It was great they provided beach chairs, umbrellas, water toys, and beach towels! Gym was nice, pool was small but nice with a great balcony to watch the sunset! The unit provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, but we didnt really need to use it so was no problem for us. Overall awesome stay!

We enjoyed our week in Clearwater very much. The property is as advertised and the staff made the stay very accomodating!

Check in was easy, staff was friendly and responsive. Great location, just a few blocks (walking distance) from restaurants and shops and just far enough away not to feel crowded. They had an easy process for signing out beach chairs and umbrellas as an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved everything about this property!

The Avalon is very conveniently located, and parking is a breeze. The property itself is definitely no frills, but it had everything we needed, including complimentary access to beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The proximity to the beach was great, and the place itself was clean and inviting. We were disappointed in a few things, however. One of the bedrooms did not have windows. This did not appear to be the case in the images we reviewed prior to booking. Additionally, the images show wooden loungers and umbrellas that appear to be provided. Whereas the Avalon does have loungers and umbrellas, they are not of the caliber pictures and it's a complete DIY event. I was not expecting to carry these items to the beach and then dig a hole for the umbrella which we struggled to keep in the ground. Additionally, the coffee bar mentioned is literally a carafe of brewed coffee with a choice of three flavored creamers. Not exactly what was portrayed when we were reading up prior to our stay. I did appreciate the proximity to the other restaurants and night life and it was a bit off the beaten path so as not to be too loud at night.

We stayed for a quick weekend away, and had a great experience. Staff was amazing and very helpful! Property was in a great location and very clean! We would definitely stay here again!

A well run property. Attentive staff. Extremely clean 24/7. Coffee/cocoa bar was amazing! Rooftop pool was delightful. Use of chairs, umbrellas, towels and toys, a big savings. We added a boogie board and football to donation toys. Crab leg crackers donated to front desk for guest use . AGM is stellar. She's a multi tasker, helpful and always smiling!A minor hiccup with a staffer, handled immediately by AGM. We will be back!!

Perfect location out of the main hustle and bustle of Clearwater Beach but close enough to walk to it if desired. Steps to a wide, beautiful beach. Very relaxing! We will be back

Fabulous time at the Beach to meet up with family. Kitchen was well stocked to prepare brunch. Washer and dryer are always a must and proximity to the beach is fantastic. We took full advantage of the chairs and umbrellas and bocce!

This was the perfect spot for not so crowded beach, but still easy walkability to food drinks and fun! The staff was all super nice and they kept the place immaculate. Parking was easy and convenient. We would definitely stay again!

Great location, walkable to shops, restaurants and especially beach! The pool was nicely heated and the Avalon staff was attentive and friendly. Chairs and umbrellas and beach toys were also a plus! The sand and water of Clearwater are like no other!!

Travelled with friends to Clearwater Beach to find warmth and the sun. Property and location were perfect for us. Highly recommend.

Place and location were fine. Resort fee is a joke. Should be eliminated by ALL resorts! Cleaning fee was excessive. But place and location were great.

The room was impeccably clean, the property boasts a prime beachfront location, and the staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming stay.

Good location and walking distance to Main Street in CWB

Place was very clean. However the second bedroom does not have any windows, and you have to leave the ceiling fan on all the time and the door open to bring fresh air into the room. No he shocked to find out that you had to pay almost 40 a day for parking. On a 5-day stay that increased our expense almost 200. Hotels conveniently located next to a couple of bars towards the end of the strip. There's not many businesses located north of the hotel. Lot of construction being done in the area in our hotel room terrace face the construction area

The good: stocked home with all necessities. Super clean. Attempts to keep guests feeling welcome were non stop and I appreciated that. Access to endless beach gear. Overall super friendly. The not so good: required to check in at desk instead of going straight to room. Felt like a hotel rather than a VRBO. Listing was not super clear that it was a gulf view. Was not prepared for the extra fees. If someone is loud in the hallways, you hear everything. The biggest issue with noise were the cleaners when cleaning other rooms. For the feel of a hotel, they lacked the amenities setting up chairs for you. You have to carry them yourselves and they are heavy.

We traveled ro the area for a beach volleyball tournament. The courts were walkable, which is why we chose this property. But more than that, the two bedroom, two bath room was wonderful. We cooked both evenings in the full kitchen, which was well appointed. We enjoyed the sunset from the 5th floor bar and even watched a beachside wedding! The staff were incredibly friendly as well. We will definitely be back!

The property was very clean and employees were all very friendly. Only thing I would say is they have large 3BR suites so if you are looking for a place to relax at the pool this isn't it, families and kids are there all afternoon. Very short walk to the beach

We had an amazing time to celebrate two birthdays and the New Year. The property was amazing, and they thought of everything, down to sand toys for our granddaughter. The staff was so kind and accomedating. We all agree that the views were magnucifant; however, the heated pool was a life saver. Would highly recommend this property.

Good place to stay

Property and room were extremely clean and well kept. Listing was a bit misleading. Expected ocean view but was not. Not a huge deal but would have liked listing to be more clear.

Everything was perfect.

The hotel was nice. However, when booked on Vrbo we were not informed about the extra charges until after we booked our stay. Also, it was a hassle to carry our chairs and umbrella to the beach . It would have been much better if there was a set up on the beach like other hotels in the area had.

This property is located a short walk from the beach, restaurants and convenience store. The property was spotless and the front desk and pool/bar staff were friendly and helpful. The unit was comfortable and well stocked. Like with any condo noise from adjacent units can sometimes be an issue. Overall great place to stay. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

We have made the Avalon a yearly vacation stop for our family! We love the proximity to the beach, restaurants, etc., and the staff is always super-friendly and helpful. The accommodations and amenities are wonderful, the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need, and the internet/TV services work flawlessly. You cannot go wrong here!
