Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start out by saying we really like staying at Destin Seafarer. They staff is wonderful and you can’t beat the location. I do not want this review to reflect on Destin Seafarer as a whole, just this unit. Seafarer has many nice units even though it is an older property. We stayed in unit 214 for 2 1/2 months and this was our 2nd year in this unit. The location of the unit is nice (it is an end unit). The beds are comfortable. Kitchen is pretty well stocked. The unit needs to be updated especially the furniture, very uncomfortable. Circuit breaker in downstairs bathroom kept tripping which affected the outlet in upstairs bathroom. This happened last year and they attempted to fix it. Kitchen light kept going off. Maintenance fixed it but by the time we left it was doing the same thing again. When we arrived there were two water leaks coming from the ceiling which maintenance put a ‘bandage’ on with plans to repair once we left. Just a lot of little things which all add up. Owners of this unit really need to give it some TLC. We will stay at Seafarer again just not in this unit, unless it gets some updates

The bathrooms were not very clean when we checked in but the management took care of that immediately. Shower door in down stairs bathroom is not anchored to the frame. It is dangerous. The vertical blinds upstairs and downstairs have multiple missing slates—-they need to be replaced. The upstairs air conditioner can not keep the room cool without using additional fans. I will say the management was very helpful and tried to address the problems they could address. This place needs the carpet replaced it is filthy. Cleaning won’t help. This unit is ideal in location but needs some TLC. We have stayed at Seafarer for 10 years and were unable to get the unit we usually stay in. We will not be renting 214 again.

Maintenance guy called manager and got us another unit. Much smaller and only 1 bathroom but more updated.

Only needs more toilet paper and some dish soap but other than that we are always so happy to be there. Unfortunately it’s our last due to the cost of the condo rising every year. We will miss it greatly:(

The condo has old decor and many things like the blinds are broken and the flooring especially the carpet needs replacing. The carpet is dirty. 5 of the vertical blinds we’re missing so the bedroom is not private and light shines through. The front door does not work properly. Broken tiles on floor. But it has a great location and the pool chairs have been updated and nice. The pool decking should be replaced and is looking old. I would stay here again just not this condo unless it’s repaired.

The unit is older and does need updating however we would stay again.
