We had a wonderful stay. It would help tremendously if the directions were updated. When the uber driver dropped us off, the address was not directly in front of the condo entrance. The address lead to the front drive of the gateway shopping center. Directions on the app were not updated, so it was difficult getting in. Another resident had to let us in the elevator to let us upstairs, due to no key fob downstairs. It would be nice to have a 2nd contact when arriving if 1st contact is not available to open front entrance. Essentials like 1 more roll of toilet paper, extra trash bags would have been nice. Otherwise, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was equipped adequately. Very nice furnishings. Space was roomy. Looked very pleasing. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Owners were very nice, caring and considerate when we had to contact them regarding trouble getting inside condo building.
Spacious, well-appointed, lots of light. This was a great place to stay!
We rented this place for a long ski weekend and chose to stay in downtown SLC and make the drive to different resorts. It is comfortable and clean. My biggest issue was they charged a $5K security deposit to my card and didn't refund it for close to 30 days. Seems a bit abusive to me.
I was very satisfied with the property. I had a little trouble getting in to the condo but the owners were very helpful and it was resolved quickly. I stayed for 7 days and I was very comfortable. Thank you Jon for your hospitality and patience with me.
Jon and Angi's place was perfect for us! We and another couple were at the convention center for two weeks and it was an easy walk out the 5th floor terrace with lots of good restaurants nearby. We did not need a car as everything was so convenient that we did not use the parking garage at all. They were very responsive both with booking the place when we had questions and when there was an issue with the hot water which was resolved quickly (not their fault, a pipe in the building had burst!). Though we do not have kids the apartment is set up for children quite nicely, there are many board/card games and the bunk beds in the second room are great! The kitchen was fully stocked to our needs, all of the lights and worked great and with the app all of the instructions that we needed were provided. The view is amazing! The place was quiet too, if you are a light sleeper you may hear the occasional bass noise from The Depot close by but it did not bother us at all. Thank you Jon and Angi! We plan to stay here again on our next trip to SLC!
Well-decorated, clean, modern furnishings. Big rooms, beautiful den, stocked kitchen. Very well-located - felt safe, could walk to Convention Center or to the huge shopping complex around the corner. Owner was responsive to questions and friendly. Highly recommend!
The first impression on entry to the apartment was one of pleasing elegance. The location was excellent for downtown activities and it was a bonus to be able to print boarding passes on the Wi-Fi Fi printer. There were however a number of frustrations. Firstly gaining entry : the video on you tube is out of date, the number of the building is 5 but the number on the garage is 4. The directions to find the elevator door on the website are totally inadequate. Paradoxically there are much better instructions on the kitchen counter once you were in. We use VRBO's all over the world and like to combine eating in with dining out. It would have been useful to have a list of restaurants within walking distance plus a copy of their menus. For eating in, the suite of saucepans and pyrex ware was limited. There was a large flat screen TV in the living room but no instructions how to operate it which meant a frustrating learning curve. The elegance of the living room was reduced by having four lamps that did not work. The cleaning charge of $120 seemed excessive for the size of the apartment. Maybe the cleaners are short and could not see the top of the refrigerator as it obviously had not been cleaned in quite a while. The cleanliness of the stove also left a lot to be desired. In the refrigerator and freezer there were many items of unknown provenance and uncertain date - some with no lids. We usually pay a damage deposit and in all the years we have used VRBO's we have never, ever not got our deposit back. It therefore irked to have to pay $99 for damage insurance. Only the owners know how many times they have claimed and it is between them, their concious and there God as to whether they think this charge fair. In a multi storey, multi dwelling building there is always the risk of fire. It would be helpful for strangers if there were an emergency evacuation procedure posted on the back of the front door.
Upsides: great location, good elevation for views, beds nice and good quality, bathrooms great and kitchen very nice too with all the things you need. Quiet and clean. Great communication and price. Downsides: no food cutting board, only a mini ironing board available and as we had a conference it was not practical to use; also it made our shirts shiny as it only had thin material covering the metal frame of the ironing board. After 18 hours flying it would be nice to have had more than â…› of a roll of toilet paper despite VRBO claiming 1 x roll per toilet. Only two sets of keys so if you're all single travelers you won't be able to enter without co-ordinating with others, made it challenging if people wanted to leave venue/meetings/restaurants at different times. We'd certainly stay again, no issues at all despite the downsides but would stay as 2 couples rather than 1 couple and 3 singles. It would be much easier as the cupboard bunks we're too small and not practical. Thanks guys. We did enjoy our stay. Probably see you same time next year....I'll bring the ironing board ;)
We loved it! Beautiful and so comfortable!! We will be booking for next years conference time!!! Thank you so much! A note to staying bring toilet paper and hand soap
We had a great stay in Salt Lake City and staying at the condo was so convenient to get to and from the Arena and Convention Center where our conference was. The check in and check out process was perfect especially since we were in and out at odd hours we didn't have to bother anyone or deal with the hassle of hotel check in. Great view from the balcony as well and the convenience of restaurants and shopping in the attached plaza made it even better.
