We loved this property! The inside was clean and charming, and it was easy to feel at home. The deck overlooking the beach was incredible, and we spent many hours out there enjoying our morning coffee, enjoying a good book and just taking in the warm breezes and beautiful views. Also, it was just a mile walk to the cluster of excellent pubs and restaurants at the center of the island. Truly an unforgettable experience!

This truly is a special place. The updates thy made to the condo were wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need and towels/blankets galore. We will definitely be staying again. The front porch is perfect for watching all the large boats and dolphins daily!!

Beautiful view! We loved watching the dolphins amd the ships coming and going. The house was very cozy. Host was very responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic location with beach access, ocean views and convenience to town of Sullivan's Island and Mt. Pleasant. We spent most of our time taking walks on the beach and relaxing on the patio.

We loved everything about our stay. This is truly a unicorn property in Sullivan’s Island—being excellent location, lived-in and cozy in all the right ways and with an awesome outdoor living space as icing on the cake. Katherine was super responsive and flexible. We’ll book again!

We loved every minute during our stay. The porch was heaven- perfect for watching dolphins, reading, or just relaxing. It made a rainy beach day all the better. We also loved the history of this property and the close proximity to Fort Moultrie for walking. Everything inside was cozy, clean, and oh so charming. Neighbors were kind, and Katherine was an amazing host.

Wonderful location right on the beach and in a quiet location of Sullivan's Island. You can tell the building is very old which is mostly ok. The kitchen tile is obviously completely broken apart which is why a large throw rug is covering it. It would be nice if that was replaced. Also had some palmetto bugs (cockroaches) appear in the kitchen the first night. After spraying and ensuring no food left out, never had another issue. The deck was a nice shady place to enjoy the ocean breeze. We would stay here again.

The rustic cottage is peaceful, well-equipped, and full of island charm. The views and location are 5 star! We loved having direct access to the ocean for swimming, walking and enjoying the sunsets.

This is a perfect location for a fishing getaway. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. Bring a flashlight to explore the beach at night. So many amazing critters to see. There are so many beautiful shells but all were inhabited by a hermit crab. We would love to stay there again !!

A sweet, beachy-vibe condo with an absolutely amazing view of the ocean. Lots of ships/boats to watch. Only a two-minute walk to the beach. Short drive to ice cream and shops. We would stay here again!

If you’re dreaming of a cozy cottage vibe on a peaceful island, this is the place. This charming condo was the perfect home base for our small family as we explored the historic sights of Charleston. It was clean, well maintained, and filled with the relaxed charm of a beachside cottage.The porch was our favorite spot to unwind. We spent hours watching boats pass through Charleston Harbor with Fort Sumter in the distance. Even though there is public beach access right next to the condo, it never felt crowded or noisy, which was a pleasant surprise.Everything worked just as it should. The air conditioner kept us comfortable despite the nearly 100-degree heat. Having a washer and dryer on hand made things so convenient for our family. The host was kind and responsive to any questions we had. We felt completely at home and would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect spot to get reenergized

Great location, quiet, and as other reviews pointed out; very rustic. But we saw dolphins from our porch daily, watched ships entering the harbor, biked the island daily, had a lovely stay!

The porch view of the beach and ocean was breathtaking! Having coffee breakfast, and reading on the pitch were the highlights of our trip. Cons,;There was a very strong smell of some type of deodorizer that was overbearing. It aggravated my allergies. The host thought it was scented trash bags. That wasn't it and my clothes came home smelling like it, as well my dogs fur.Next to public access to the beach, so could be noisy at times. Outlet in the kitchen didn't work for microwave.Large rugs were not clean. My small dog was aggressively approached by large dogs twice on the beach because people didn't follow the leash rules. She was almost burn and one dog jumped on me multiple times trying to get to her after I picked her up. That is not the hosts fault. Just be cautious if you take a small dog on the beach. It almost ruined my stay.

Shocked to see condition of unit - was told it was quaint but it was SHABBY. Bathroom very old and small. Shower was too high so it wet my hair as I couldn’t get away from the water. Very slippery shower and floor got wet every time shower was on. However, beds were comfortable. TVwas hard to operate too. I won’t be returning to this rental

Location can’t be beat. Perfect stay in a historic building right by Fort Moultrie, right on the beach. Two huge porches provide extra living and dining spaces. Beach on this end of the island is quiet and still retains its rugged natural beauty. Tons of birds and dolphins to watch while you enjoy your morning coffee. We felt this was the best unit in the building. Wishing this trip could never end!

We stayed in this attractive apartment several times pre-pandemic, only to find it superficially maintained on our return: windows were dirty; sills either painted shut or filled with bugs; no bedroom fan remote to be found; back porch couch broken; fridge door shelves removed; front porch pillows dirty; shower curtain leaked; no soap in bath or kitchen; worn pots and pans; no bar in shower; chipped china; toilet seat unsecured; ice maker broken; outside stairs rickety — should have two rails; gate stuck; kitchen floor tiles missing, broken; exterior and interior paint flaking. With more attentive maintenance, Unit 4 could be restored to its original charming condition. Sadly, we won’t be back. showercushions dirty

This property was amazing and Katherine was a welcoming and attentive host. The space was comfortable and wonderfully situated. We could sit on the porch and watch dolphins jumping out of the water each morning. We hope to return again!

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is in a perfect location. The views were amazing. We will stay here again.

We visited during a rather cold week, but were pleased to find that the unit had comfortable beds, great heating, and plenty of hot water. The unit is small but well- equipped, and in warmer weather the front and back porches would provide additional living space. Katherine was responsive to our questions in a timely manner, and made us feel welcome. Nearly ten blocks from shops and restaurants but could be walkable in warmer weather. We would definitely consider returning.
