Beautiful Soundfront condominium

Condo is clean and spacious and looks exactly like photos however the furnishings are placed such that one cannot take advantage of any water views. Couch and dining table do not overlook sound and in order to take advantage of view, which is lovely, one would need to stand in kitchen by slider. I was hoping to work while enjoying the view. Only way to describe unit is cold and dark off season. Complex was completely deserted. I booked the condo for myself and my two teens for the days after Christmas. While I did not expect the area to be bustling off season, the town of Greenport was completely shut up tight. Restaurants and shops closed. Vineyard tasting rooms closed. Would have been nice to get some heads up from the owner, but i guess he was happy to have a booking. When we arrived the thermastat was set at 50 degrees, which was extremely unwelcoming on a 28 degree wintry day. We raised it and left to find somewhere to eat. Returned to barely 55 degrees. At that point we decided not to even bring in bags or stay, as daughter recovering from serious health issue couldn’t tolerate cold temps. Alerted owner I was not staying but had no response. Just some things to keep in mind if you plan on staying in fall or winter. I’m sure in spring and summer it is absolutely lovely. But for December, Montauk and Hamptons better choice for a holiday stay.
