The apartment was spacious, well equipped and had a lovely view of the snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains. I enjoyed being able to walk to everything! Restaurants, grocery, wonderful Beacon Hill Park, the Inner Harbour and the B.C. Museum.

We were pleased to stay here for a month. We walked to Thrifty Foods, Red Barn market, BC Liquor Store (good wine selection); also to Cook Street Village for the Root Cellar and Cook Street Village Liquor (good craft beer selection). Walked through Beacon Hill Park. along the Dallas Road waterfront, inner harbour, downtown, etc. It's a 1973 building, very well maintained, and elevator service is very good. Basement laundry room is spacious, bright, and clean. We added $25 to the laundry card -- this was enough for our stay.

The apartment is fine, with a view southwest toward the Olympic mountains if Washington State.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Threadbare bed linens. Smelly towels. This place needs freshening up.Place was supposed to be cleaned before we got there. Well, we found a sock and a ball cap from a previous tenant. It took four visits to replace three missing light bulbs

This property is ideally situated within walking distance to downtown, in a very scenic and friendly neighbourhood. South facing and breezy. Apartment pool was dreamy, and the unit was very, very well-equipped for long stays, although some basic food items (ie: cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc) would have been nice. But based on how well appointed the rest of the apartment was, I resume this is a covid thing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We very much enjoyed our one month stay in this well managed building. Residents are friendly and welcoming. We very much enjoyed the pool, exercise room, strolls in Beacon Hill park, and the convenience of the shops a 10-minute walk away. The beds are very comfortable but the dining room chairs could use cushions as they are really outdoor chairs. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking your favorite meal but the handle oven door is broken and really needs to be replaced. Thanks to the staff of the management company who were friendly and helpful. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at this condo was a treat. First of all, the expanse of windows and the south-facing views meant that the space was infused with light, including sunrise. The kitchen was well-stocked with china and glassware and enough pots and utensils to cook full meals. The apartment is clean and building itself is very well maintained with helpful, on-site staff. It's important to note that the pool, gym and common room, with a library and piano, are excellent and underused facilities and made the stay even better. The location is ideal; a half block to the park and three blocks to the James Bay shopping area (a supermarket, liquor store, several cafes). The customer service provided by Kathryn and Candice from EMR was superb. We thank them for making our stay even better.

We stayed in the condo for a month while moving between homes in Victoria (it's a long story). The building is in James Bay which is the best neighbourhood for a visit to Victoria (actually in my opinion the best location to live in Victoria and I've been here all my life). The condo is half a block from beautiful Beacon Hill Park, a 5 minute walk to the Inner Harbour and Dallas Road Beach, and a 15 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and the center of downtown. Despite the proximity to downtown, the neighbourhood and the building are quiet. Groceries, drug stores, coffee shops and restaurants (check out Bubby Rose's Bakery) are just a few blocks away. The unit comes with an underground parking spot so if you arrive by car you'll be covered. The building was built in 1973 but is well maintained, with nice grounds, a recently renovated lobby and a beautiful hot tub and pool. It's a steel and concrete tower with mostly retired occupants so it's a nice quiet space to relax in. The finishings and furnishings are nothing fancy but the space is clean and well organized with everything you need for a long term stay. The only thing we would have hoped for is a couple of blankets for the double bed...but not because we were cold. This may just be a quirk my wife and I have, but often when we travel (whether in northern or tropical climates) we arrive to find a thick quilt on the bed - something we would find too hot to sleep under unless the room was (literally) freezing. I would recommend the owner provide a couple of light blankets for the beds so guests can layer to their comfort level. If you don't mind sleeping under a quilt in an average temperature room then you'll likely be content as the bedding overall was clean and comfortable. The building has shared laundry but the machines are clean, good quality and were always available. A laundry card and laundry supplies were provided so we didn't have to pay for laundry during the month we stayed. The check-in was efficient and the staff we dealt with were friendly and easy to reach. The cost was also reasonable for this area. If you are looking for a long term stay in the heart of Victoria (especially if you like to walk) I highly recommend that you consider this clean, cozy, perfectly located condo.

It is a great place to spend July and August.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The suite was great. Easy parking in and out. Location was within walking to groceries, downtown and good restaurants. The room worked really well with good beds, clean room and everything needed in the kitchen. Living room furniture was comfortable and casual so I didn't feel too uptight. There is a lot of light coming in with a large balcony for getting some good outside fresh air inside. Only downside was a small bathroom but overall I guess that's a non-issue.
