Hono Kai A3 is a charming ground-floor, 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo that features a window A/C in the bedroom and ceiling fans throughout for added comfort. Unit A3 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The bedroom boasts a queen-size bed and a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living area offers additional sleeping space. The updated en suite bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with tile countertops, custom cabinets, and updated appliances, provides an ideal space for preparing your meals. Step out onto the lanai and enjoy easy access to the ocean and pool, while savoring partial ocean views. This unit is located on the south side of the resort.

Hono Kai is a beachfront property where you can enjoy a 6-mile stretch of beach with views of Haleakala and Kaho'olawe, an oceanfront pool, and BQQ areas. Additionally, there is a coin-operated laundry facility for your convenience. Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to the Aquarium, enjoy exciting activities from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to either side of the island. There are no resort or parking fees.

    Nice and quiet. Great place to spot whales. Nice beach. Need to clean the tops of the fan blades. The rain shower head doesnt seem to work. The AC unit needs a filter change. Perfect stays was very good about communicating. Not a criticism just a comment. I would remove the glass table against the wall and the smaller if the 2 chairs. When you open the sleeper sofa it's too crowded.

    I like how the price looked affordable then there are the additional fee’s and if you don’t know this is not a hotel so if you damaged any they will make you pay for it at what ever cost they want to pay no matter how old or even if it is items that need to be changed regularly

    The property location, beach front was ideal. The unit itself needs remodeling. The front room TV was quirky. Worked fine at times but not always. Wasted time trouble shooting TV. We were clean, mindful of food and trash but still found a scorpion on the bed! Did not want to open the sliding door after that- (even with screen closed)

    Perfect location. Centrally located on the island with a beautiful secluded beach only 2p feet from the back deck. It was clean with a nice shower and kitchen and the bed was very comfortable! The pool over looking the ocean was also a nice feature.

    Walking over the plywood with sewer gas coming out made it hard to have a good 1st impression. Then the walk to our condo down a cement block walk wasn't encouraging. The condo was nicely furnished and well equiped. The help and other guest were really nice. The plants were lovely and well attended. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

    Communication with the management company is excellent. The location of the apartment is very good. You are just steps from the beach where you can walk and swim. It’s well equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare a meal. Towels and beddings were fresh. There are beach chairs and umbrellas for your use. When we first arrived, the location seemed a little isolated, but it is only about 15 minutes to shopping and there is small market not far away. A benefit is the location is quite at night. The primary negative is the odor from the septic system as you walk from and to the apartment to the parking lot. The odor can be detected in the apartment if the wind is blowing this direction. This issue needs to be corrected. For the cost of the apartment one should not have to deal with this. Thus why my overall rating is a three.

    Hono Kai is a great location. Miles of beautiful sandy beach without crowds. Quiet neighborhood. It is a good central point to discover the island of Maui. We truly enjoyed it.
