Beachfront Condo with Pool, Balcony & Ocean Views

Extremely disappointing experience. We arrived expecting the property shown in the listing photos, but the unit and building were not as advertised. The photos are completely misleading and some photos are photoshopped to look better. We have proof from the photos we took and the ones the host posted on the listed. The building was old, musty, and had only one working elevator, which was inconvenient from the moment we arrived. The unit itself was dirty, had a strong odor that smelled like marijuana, and there appeared to be possible black mold in the property in multiple areas. We also observed people smoking marijuana at the pool area, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and not family-friendly.Due to our health and safety concerns and conditions of the property, we decided to leave after only one hour and booked other accommodations. We thoroughly documented our concerns with photos and contacted the host and VRBO. Unfortunately, the host was unresponsive, unhelpful, and ultimately refused to provide a refund while disputing the conditions we reported. The host tried to claim we never called and never left messages, but I have proof we did. They only responded once we complained about the property and potential black mold. Our experience with VRBO and the host were extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable. We would not stay here again and would encourage future guests to avoid this host and rental all together.

The condo was a 3 out of 5. The view and fact it faces the beach was great. The condo had glass doors from a bedroom to the balcony sadly, they were sealed shut-access to balcony only from great room-which was really disappointing to me. A kitchen drawer was completely broken. Lots of extension cords, which seemed old. Parking with tips got expensive. But appliances were nice and new. Bathroom were fine.

We had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately our experience did not match what was advertised.There was constant construction noise next door that was not disclosed prior to booking. It made it very difficult to enjoy the pool and outdoor space, which was a major reason we chose this property. It started as early as 8am and went all day. We had to leave during the day just to get relief. This was especially challenging as one of our children suffers from migraines and the noise made the environment difficult for her to tolerate.We also found what appeared to be moisture damage and possible mold inside a kitchen cabinet, which raised cleanliness concerns. In addition, the AC in the master bedroom leaked water onto the floor near the bathroom, creating a slip hazard. We reported it on day one but no one came to address it.There were a few other issues—limited beach towels, no laundry detergent provided, and the on-site gym requires a paid pass that was not disclosed. The pool area was also often messy, and communication with the host was limited.The view from the apartment was beautiful, but overall the stay fell short of expectations. Vrbo did provide a partial refund, which we appreciated. We recommend confirming nearby conditions and amenities before booking.

The room details were pretty accurate except the amount of people it can accommodate. Sleeping arrangements were fine but there weren't enough beach chairs, towels, drinking glasses for everyone. There were only 2 beach chairs available in this unit which left us uncomfortable at the beach. The air conditioner leaked and dripped on the floor in the master bedroom. We also found mold on the wall of the corner cabinet. Beds were comfortable, the pillows could be replaced, a few were pretty flat. Balcony is not as pretty as pictured in the photo; there was no greenery or light up sign. You cannot open any windows or the sliding glass door to the balcony. As far as for as the hotel, it was pretty nice. I did have an issue Friday and Saturday. There is a bouncer at the entrance to the pool area, and they will not let you bring coolers, drinks, or food into the pool area or onto the beach. Sunday-Thursday there is no one patrolling this. They don't care if you're staying in the building or not. They will perform full bag inspections. The gym is very small and is not included. There are no umbrellas to set up in the pool area if you're looking for shade. I also had other friends staying in the building, 3 other units, not by this company, were also questionable. Tiki bar was a nice feature but quite expensive at times. The staff behind the bar are not too friendly. The cabanas are not worth renting; they are not connected to the pool nor the beach.

Wonderful place for Families

The condo was perfect and made for great time in Ft Lauderdale. This was by far the nicest accommodation of our 4 different stays at the Ocean Manor. The highlights are: upgraded kichen, awesome balcony with table and chairs, Murphy bed that sleeps two, very comfortable seating, beautiful ocean view. Will book again next year.

We have stayed in this complex several times, not this unit. The location is perfect and both on site restaurants are great, especially the Tiki bar. While very expensive, the unit was very nice, had everything you need. One huge issue....there is a very active construction site roughly 40 feet from the balcony (and pool) with deafening noise...all...day... long...every...single..day. Literally ruined the trip. Could not hear yourself think anywhere on the property. Would suggest you avoid this place until you get confirmation the construction is complete.

Stayed for 3 nights at the ocean manor condo. The ocean, bar, beach, and location were by far my favorite aspects. I enjoyed the clean beach, the umbrellas available for rent, and walking to the “Lauderdale by the sea” restaurant and shopping area. The downsides to this condo are the age of the building (built in the 1950s). It is very worn inside and out, high trafficked. The common areas are very dirty, messy patio furniture and garbage. Even saw some barf puddle in the morning near the tiki bar. The tiki bar is open till 2 AM so the noise pollution from music and drinks is very present. We struggle with doors that were difficult to open and shut do to the age of the building, walls that were paper thin making it easy to hear the elevator ding. The bathrooms are located within the bedrooms so if you are planning on sleeping on the Murphy bed in the living room be prepared for that. We also struggled with the tiny size of both bathrooms and lack of vanity space. There was no broom to sweep up the sand on the floor, very few towels, and overall the condo itself is worn and weathered in different areas. I really appreciated the safe and luxurious area it was located in. I enjoyed taking a morning walk to Dunkin for a coffee, picking up seashells on the clean beach, and the overall friendliness of the residents and neighbors.

Great location, great views, great beach! Close to everything. Pool and beach are an elevator ride away. Great balcony to have coffee and watch sunrise. Very comfortable space. Check in was easy and host very helpful. It's a vintage building so not as sleek and modern as some but everyone is very welcoming and laid back. Beds are comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Lots of great restaurants walking distance or short drive. Winn Dixie grocery about a block away. Great place of kids and adults. We had a very nice stay.

This condo is literally a home away from home ! Everything you need is right there as if your in your own house , from cooking to cleaning to watching tv. It’s extremely clean and well maintained. Our family was so comfortable, the views were amazing, there’s all amenities you need , restaurants, coffee shop, gift shop, valet all on site. Los Olas blvd is right down the street! highly recommend this property. Our host was amazing and helped us with any questions.

Overall we had a great time. The location of the Resort was right on the beach. Great view! The Tiki bar and restaurant had great food, there was also a very nice Italian restaurant on the property, that was fantastic.The building was older but it was okay. Everyone Had a great time.

Myself and four friends stayed here for a girls vacation. We are all in our 50’s and were looking forward to our getaway. I had told the host we would be landing early and she informed me I could not have an early check in (which I totally understood). When we arrived, we wanted to at least be able to leave our luggage with the front desk and we figured we would go have lunch to kill some time. The front desk told us it would be 10 per bag. I thought that was crazy since it is also a hotel, so I messaged the host to ask if there was somewhere else we could leave them. She never responded. Later on as it got closer to checkin, I tried calling the host and she didn’t answer. When we finally heard back from her (hours later) it was to let us know what room number we were in. Ok so we all expect to hit some bumps when traveling. When we get to the condo, which is beautiful, there are four bath towels. That’s it…for FIVE women. And only TWO rolls of toilet paper. We messaged the host and she never responded at all during our entire stay. We had to take towels from the pool and buy toilet paper. That is unacceptable in my opinion. I have stayed at other condos in the Ocean Manor and have had wonderful experiences. This would have been wonderful as well if the host would have been responsive and helped rectify any issues. The unit is clean, updated and has a beautiful view. And Ocean Manor itself never disappoints. I will be renting a different unit yearly moving forward.

What a beautiful condo and great location. Was a perfect set up for 5 adults and the bedding was super comfortable. Took a little adjusting to have the 5th person on the Murphy bed come into the bedrooms to use the bathroom but we made it work. Valet was super convenient. Great spot to relax and unwind.

The owner did not respond to any of my questions or requests. This made it stressful at times. I even tried to call and it went right to voice mail. The owner had housekeeping knock on our door right at check-out time to ensure we were leaving. Positive: The place was nice. The location and views are incredible. The hotel staff was pleasant, with good food and a nice pool. Negative: It costs extra to sit on the beach. Once we checked in we found out that the hotel rents the same unit for almost 150 less daily. You need to pay 20 per day to park.
