Enjoy the panoramic views of Glacier National Park from this beautiful lodging. Large picture windows face the west where the Rocky Mountains fill the horizon. Watch for moose, elk, deer, and Canadian Geese who frequent the land around the property. Summit is an upstairs condo with three bedrooms and two bathrooms that easily sleeps 6-8 guests.
The Lone Elk Lodge is the perfect place to relax. The living room has comfortable seating for up to eight guests, and is set up for an evening of entertainment or to just relax after a busy day. Along with the incredible views from the large picture windows, there is a fireplace that provides a warm glow for romantic evenings after the sun has set and the stars come out. The lodge is equipped with HDTV, DVD, stereo, satellite, and a library of movies, music, books and games for your entertainment.
The dining area, kitchen, and living room share a beautiful open area with plenty of sunshine and mountain views.
The kitchen is fully appointed with granite countertops, brand-new appliances, and all the tools needed to whip up the perfect meal. The cabinets are handcrafted by Carl, who has been designing and selling his woodworking for over thirty years.

There is a private deck which is furnished with a gas grill and plenty of outdoor seating, and provides a great gathering area for barbecues and watching incredible sunsets. The backyard offers lots of room for setting up a badminton game or volleyball.
The bedrooms are furnished with comfortable queen or king beds and each is decorated with local themes
Plenty of hiking and fishing can be found right out the back door. In the winter, there are cross-country trails that can be accessed from our property. The Two Medicine entrance to Glacier Park is only a twenty-minute drive away, which boasts one of the most scenic lakes in the park. There are boat concessions, miles of hiking trails, and a historical camp store that is well stocked with park information, gear, and gifts. The town of East Glacier Park is three miles away and offers grocery stores, fine restaurants, gift shops, and a post office.

If you are looking for comfort, convenience, and fabulous views - this is the place for you!

Great property with great views. Enough grocery stores and restaurants within 10 minutes. Host was fantastic. Room was great. Hiking trail on property was nice. Convenient to Many Glacier and East side of Glacier which is much less busy than west side.

What a lovely stay - had 5 adults stay in Summit. The rooms are all comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with any cookware and utensils you could need to eat at home. Washing machine and dryer were a blessing and helpful to have two bathrooms. The views are just stunning - made it difficult to want to leave! The hosts were all so kinds - reachable any time and even had fresh scones to welcome us. We also had the host’s huckleberry carrot cake at nearby Serranos Mexican restaurant - sold out quick so order dessert first!

We stayed here 15 years ago and it was just as we remembered it. This family is such a great host. I hope it's not another 15 years before we come back.

We stayed here June 27th - July 1st and used this as our home base for the Vacation Races Glacier Half Marathon and exploring Glacier National Park, Kalispell, and Whitefish. Highly recommend! Clear communication, welcoming location, and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the cozy living room and fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed having the AC, as it was hot for Montana! Thank you for being apart of our once in a lifetime trip!

The cabin was in a secluded area with beautiful views of the mountains. The property had a nice little trail that walked along the train tracks that was actually very pretty. The cabin had plenty of room for the 7 of us. The family room and kitchen area were very cozy with windows facing the mountain view. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the evenings together talking, watching TV and enjoying the fireplace. The swing out back was absolutely beautiful with the wind chimes blowing right next to it. There were 4 cans of bear spray for the visitors which was so nice and convenient. Would definitely recommend this cabin and hopefully we will get to enjoy it again in the future.

We arrived at night and waking up to the views out of the living room and property were awesome especially with the fireplace keeping us warm. The place was very clean, felt like home and just what we were hoping for. Highly recommend. We stayed here as a base camp for our East glacier trip and was perfect location.

Perfect location in between East and West Glacier which made it easy to get to both. Perfect size space with room for everyone. Owners easy to access if needed. Everything we needed was supplied and the directions and pointers were perfect!

We stayed here 5 nights while visiting Glacier. The Lodge is about 15-20 minutes from the Two Medicine entrance and 1 hour to the West entrance of GTTSR, 1hour to the East entrance of GTTSR and 1 hour to Many Glacier entrance. This was very convenient for us since it is easier for us to leave an hour earlier to get where we are going and not have to pack up and move multiple times. We loved having a kitchen with everything we needed - would eat breakfast before we left, take a picnic to have while exploring the park and come back to the home for dinners we prepared. The beds and living area are comfortable. The unit is quiet and we loved having the AC. The hosts provide bear spray for you to use during your stay and they communicate great with their guests. Would highly recommend!

This was a great house that worked well for two families. Located in East Glacier which by the way is not where the east entrance to the park is located (about 45 min away in St Mary’s). The house is on some very pretty grounds and is shared with other Vrbo units. There are some lawn games and a Pickleball court. The house also comes with a washer dryer and includes laundry detergent as well as some hiking essentials like Band-Aids and moleskin for blisters, Epson salts, sunscreen, and,wet wipes. Very thoughtful. We would stay here again.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful 5-night stay while exploring the east side of Glacier NP! We stayed in the upstairs Summit unit and were so thankful for the A/C since MT was having a heatwave in mid-July! The property was beautiful and the owners were very friendly! You could tell they took pride in what they do! We would definitely stay here again! Our only recommendation would be to wear bug spray if enjoying all of the yard games! We did not and the biting flies got us! Other than that, we had a great time!!

We chose Lone Elk Lodge mainly because of the location, it was not only about midway between St. Mary and Apgar, it was also extremely private, peaceful and relaxing after some long days. We stayed in the Summit part of the lodge and it easily accommodated 7 adults. Most days ended with time on the deck, hanging out in the backyard around the fire pit, or playing yard games while we waited for the sun to set around 10 pm. Communication with the owners was always prompt, they provided their cell phone numbers and they live on site. We had no issues but we’re confident they would be resolved quickly. This was the best vacation we’ve had and loved our stay at Lone Elk lodge!
