    Checked in around 6:15, had a dinner reservation at 6:30, just enough time to drop our bags and go. The unit is decorated nicely and has all the necessary amenities. Returned around 11 and watched some TV. My wife who is very sensitive to mold said it smelled like mold as we watched TV. Went to sleep. I woke about 6:30 gagging, could barely breathe. Had to get in the car and take a drive to clear things up. My wife was up when I got back, said LET'S GO, I can't stay in here another minute. We left around 8:30, spent a total of about 9 1/2 hours in property. Checked into a local hotel for the rest of our stay at an additional great expense. VRBO requires upfront payment in full, I'm aware of the rules. I contacted host and asked if they would consider refunding some money considering the situation. When she got back to me she refused and threatened to sue us for slander if we said anything bad and basically accused us of being too uppity, sorry if it wasn't fancy enough for you, but we are not giving you any refund. I have given i enough time to see if their conscience might kick in but no. The place was flooded during Ian, they said it was fully remediated. Maybe they did their best to do so, but if it bothered us both, it had to be something. Why on earth would we leave after 9 hours when we paid for an entire week in full, That's crazy. I feel bad leaving this review, maybe it's their only income, either way, MY conscience says it needed to be said.

    I write this post having been a property owner on Sanibel and a frequent visitor to SW Florida for over 60 years. The good first. The location is fantastic--close to the beach and both major shopping/dining areas. The unit was recently redone following hurricane damage and is very clean with modern bathrooms. It is an end unit, so there is extra light. The patio area is very nice with multiple tables (with umbrellas) and lounge chairs. Also, the property is well maintained, neatly landscaped and clean. There is a small pool in the courtyard with lounges and areas of natural shade from the building. Now the bad. There are not enough parking spaces on the property! There are 14 condos and only 9 spaces. This means that at times, I had to find off-site free parking, which can be a real challenge in Naples, especially during peak business and dining hours. I was told that the condo association was working with the city to fix this issue. Until it is resolved, this is a major problem. The communication with the manager was less than ideal. I had to initiate contact for both check-in and check-out procedures. There were things missing/lacking in the unit, some of which were corrected (only 5 plates, 3 glasses, no bedside lamps in either bedroom, no measuring spoons or cups) and others that were not (no knife set, no ironing board). When we arrived, the air conditioning was not functioning but it was fixed within 2 hours. There is no grill on the property. All fixable problems!

    So close to everything - didn’t need to rent a car. The condo was so clean and had everything I needed. The owners were very responsive and flexible with my winter travel needs/flight changes. I’ll definitely be back!!!
