If location is the most important thing to you, this 2 bedroom Isle of Palms vacation rental at The Ocean Inn is hard to beat. This small complex of individually owned condominiums is right in the middle of everything, making it an easy and convenient spot for a great stay at the beach.

This upstairs condo, #202, is simple, tastefully decorated, and has everything your family needs for a relaxed beach trip. It is just steps from the pool and parking, with big windows that let in lots of natural light. Facing southwest, you will even catch those gorgeous Lowcountry sunsets pouring in at the end of the day.

There is not a direct beach view, but if you look out the bedroom windows you can catch a small glimpse. The bedrooms are on the smaller side, but with tall ceilings and bright light they feel more open than expected, and are perfect for a comfortable night’s sleep after a full day outside.

The full kitchen is stocked with dishware, glassware, pots and pans, and baking dishes, along with everything you need for simple meals and easy mornings. With so many great restaurants nearby, you may not cook much, but it is nice to have the option.

The Ocean Inn property includes a pool, two grill areas, free parking, and shared laundry facilities just steps away.

One of the biggest perks of this location is how close you are to everything. Restaurants, shops, rentals, and local spots are all within a few blocks, so once you arrive, you may not need to use your car much at all.

Dog friendly with prior approval. Dogs must be under 20 lbs and hypoallergenic. Pet fees apply.

** CONFIRMATION & PAYMENT: Your reservation is confirmed when the initial payment is paid. Payment options are dependent on the cancellation policy and how far away you are booking your stay. For reservations made in advance of 30 days, the remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. Balances are deducted automatically from the card on file. In the event of payment failure, a grace period of 24 hours is given to remedy the payment.
** ITEMS PROVIDED: Soaps, linens, towels and starter paper products will be in your condo upon arrival. Routine linen and towel exchanges are not provided during your stay. Guests are responsible for replacing their own paper and soap products if starter amounts are used during their stay. It is not necessary to replace these for future guests.
**SMOKING All of our properties are NO SMOKING properties. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please discard appropriately. Deposit will be forfeited and additional cleaning charges incurred if evidence of smoking indoors is found upon departure. THIS INCLUDES smoking by an open door or window so that smoke enters the condo. Please smoke away from these areas.

    The property was very well decorated and updated. It's just the location was looking at the back of a restaurant in a gravel parking lot. No beach view whatsoever. Teeny tiny rooms, but again, very clean, very well decorated. Hostess was extremely responsive.

    Property was in a great location. A couple blocks walk to beach. Easy walk. Close to a few restaurants and shops. Host was spectacular answering any questions promptly. She even mailed something I left behind! Good water pressure and comfortable beds. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. AC and fans all worked well. I spent 5 days here and it was very quiet. I will definitely stay here again. Sunrises were beautiful.

    We loved our week stay here and hated to leave! We loved being so close to the beach and really loved exploring the town of IOP. The unit was so cute and clean and we really appreciated the beach stuff available for us to use. The property manager was also great and made us feel welcome!

    The property interiors are always clean and as described. Grounds are pretty well kept. Management is very micro management focused with lots and lots of rules, signs and labels in every nook and cranny reminding you what to do and not do. Probably necessary for a property that gets lots of young people wanting to party at the beach. Most of the renters seem to be families so I am not sure what happened that required all the signs and labels everywhere. Parking at restaurants and other businesses on Sullivan's and IOP is limited so a LSV or golf cart is a good thing to rent while you are in town. Carts are allowed at the Ocean Inn, but you are not allowed to charge them. With this ridiculous information I sourced a gas cart vendor. I was checking out on Sunday but the cart vendor would only pick Mon - Fri. I asked Ocean Inn management to let it stay over night for pick up Monday morning. They said no. Not because of a parking space need but because of insurance liability. They posed the question who'd be responsible or take care of if it if someone backed into it. I was forced to talk the golf cart company into picking it up Friday for this reason and they made an exception and picked it up Saturday morning. I conveyed this to the Ocean Management to appease them. A few days later they told me that the cart could be dropped anytime the day I was checking in. The cart was dropped early AM that day with us checking in late that day. So what about the insurance concerns for those hours we were not there? Ocean Inn went on to recommend a moped rental place behind their property after I went through all this. It would have been nice to have add that info before I went through this. Bottom line it feels they fixate on the things that are not as big of an issue. The fact that were a good number of cigarette butts in the properties BBQ grill was off putting to me. They fact that there was a drunk person crawling (literally) to their room seemed more of an issue than a golf cart. I appreciate that you can bring your dog. I just wish there more trash cans. A dumpster out back is about all i could find. No trash can at the pool even. I appreciate their concern for property up keep. It just needs to be consistent, logically and not a study in micro management.

    this was a spectacular place to stay. Easy 1 block walk to beach, ocean side restaurants, Buba, ice cream and a short drive to Charleston and all the history and plantations. Easy to rent surf board and rented boat for the day for boating to Sullivan's Island. Spectacular time!

    My wife and I and our pup enjoyed our stay. It was great! Walkable to the beach and to a great breakfast spot. Not too far from downtown Charleston too. Everything was clean and amenities were great. Would definitely book again.

    We had an awesome experience. The property is right by the beach. The place was clean and just as advertised. The property manager is super nice and helpful. We visited with our dog and found them really accommodating. Other renters were pleasant when we ran into each other in passing but never really knew any one else was there once we were inside. We loved it so much we booked another unit at the property during our stay! Definitely recommend you give it a try!
