Stayed Mar 20, 2023The location is walking distance to good restaurants. We were able to get free curbside parking most of the time luckily. The house itself though was very dirty. Filthy floors, stained sheets, ripped up couch, and every door and cabinet is white so you can easily see tons of dirt and grim and handprints on everything. The neighborhood is also pretty gross with trash everywhere. It had some nice features like the bathrooms but overall it was gross.

Stayed Dec 27, 2022Pretty much every VRBO property I have rented exceeds my expectations. Not this one. Not only was the unit poorly stocked/setup (ie terrible sheets not fitted to bed and not even complete sets for bunk beds, only ONE full size drinking glass, no measuring spoons, etc), but it was not even functional. The thermostat did not work giving us no control of the temperature, the master bathroom tub/shower could not be used, the garbage disposal didn't work, the list goes on and on. Also, a neighbor played loud music until 4am on a Thursday so my family couldn't sleep. We contacted Hostiva who came out once, was not able to repair anything and then became unresponsive for the next 2 days of our 3-night stay. Also, they sent checkout instructions at 4PM on our checkout day reminding us to be checked out by 10AM THAT DAY with a list of things we were supposed to have done that morning before we checked out! Good thing we were gone by 7AM, we couldn't wait to get out of there. The neighborhood is great except for the homeless guy that turns on the outside hose bib every morning forcing us to wake up to a flooded sidewalk and the property is large and could be nice, but the unit should not be rented again until repairs are made. I informed Hostiva of the same - hopefully they take action and this can be a great rental one day in the future.

Stayed May 5, 2022The space was huge and perfect for my family. Everyone had their own space, and the location was nice — centrally located and easy to get to the Quarter. Free street parking was also a lovely bonus, and we never had difficulty finding a spot. Thank you for a great stay!!

Stayed Apr 26, 2022Overall, we had a really experience with the Hosteeva property. The pictures that are on the site are representative of what we walked into, which is always a good way to start off. Even as a 3-bedroom, it's still a pretty big apartment with enough space to not feel crowded with four adults. The bedrooms are good sizes and the mattresses are all memory foam and super comfortable. And, each bedroom has really good closet/storage space. The master bedroom and closet are huge. The other two bedrooms are pretty small, but again, they both have good closet space so that really helps. The kitchen has everything you need for lighter meals. But, when you're in New Orleans, who wants to eat anything other than amazing restaurant food. As a by the way, right next door to this property is an AMAZING Columbian restaurant. And, if you want excellent grilled oysters and crawfish beignets, you can walk three blocks to Mr. Ed's. Some other highlights about the location of this property is that it's one block from St. Charles, so if you want to take in some NOLA sites, you can always walk over to St. Charles to jump on a trolley. The neighborhood might feel a little sketchy if you are not familiar with New Orleans. But honestly, I never felt unsafe or threatened. The grit, grime, and homeless are just part of any city. And, if you like to stay somewhere that is removed from tourists and feels like you're part of the real city, then this is a fabulous location. The only negative about the property itself is that there were some kitchen cabinets that need some cleaning attention (inside and out) and the corners and baseboards need a once over. There also is something construction-related on the upstairs floor of the apartment and the workers decided to go to work with banging at about 8:00am. Dealing with the folks from HOSTEEVA was very easy. They are responsive, quick to answer questions, and when I asked for an earlier check-in, they let me know when the cleaning crew was out and gave me an updated check-in code. I would definitely stay at another HOSTEEVA property.

Stayed Feb 2, 2022The property was decent. It is located in a neighborhood that is literally on the other side of the tracks. A raised highway separates this gentrifying neighborhood from the downtown area. The surroundings really aren't great, but it does give you a reasonably priced, comfortable location for easy access to the waterfront and the French Quarter. There were a few issues that should be addressed. First, the heat is not the best. We were there during a cold spell and the back bedroom never really got warm enough. Second, there were times it seemed that we did not have hot water. The foregoing notwithstanding, the service was A1! The host was extremely attentive to our needs, and responded quickly whenever they were called. I would recommend any listing from this host!

Stayed Nov 12, 2021Pleasant property near St Charles made for a good stay. There were a few (fairly minor) maintenance issues that we reported to the property manager at the start of our stay. Bonus points for their very prompt and pleasant responses.

Stayed Aug 7, 2021What a neat location. So convenient to the Trolley, many great restaurants and places if interest. This is a new rental, so some kitchen equipment, such as a toaster, will be added in the future, I am sure. There is a fabulous restaurant next door, Maise. A must to try. The beds were most comfortable. Many of the kitchen appliances were brand new, and Hosteeva sent workmen out within 24 hours to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. If we return to New Orleans, we would definitely book this

Stayed May 24, 2021This is a great space and located one block from the St. Charles trolly. The shotgun house has been well restored and has a great restaurant next door. It met our needs as we explored New Orleans.
