Some places rush you. This one won't.

De Anza Villa is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home that sleeps four — with enough space to spread out, exhale, and actually be present with the people you came with. Two large bedrooms. A full kitchen. Your own pace.

This is slow travel done right.

By day, the desert wraps around you in warmth. Float in the pool. Read the book you've been meaning to finish. Nap without guilt. Let the heat do what it's designed to do — stripeverything unnecessary away.

By evening, something magical happens.

The temperature drops, the sky darkens, and above Borrego Springs — one of California's only International Dark Sky Communities — the Milky Way appears in full. No city glow. No compromise. Just one of the most breathtaking skies you'll ever stand under. Sink into the hot tub and let the universe remind you how small your to-do list actually is.

For those who want to go deeper, Borrego Night Sky Tours offers intimate telescope-guided experiences with one of the country's most celebrated astronomers. Anza-Borrego Desert State Park also hosts ranger-led star parties — free, unhurried, unforgettable.

Two bedrooms. Four guests. One sky that will stop you in your tracks.

Dark Sky Viewing
As one of only a handful of International Dark Sky Communities in the world, Borrego Springs offers stargazers an unparalleled celestial experience. Free from urban light pollution, the desert sky transforms into a brilliant canvas after sunset, revealing countless stars, the Milky Way's luminous band, and even distant galaxies visible to the naked eye. This natural sanctuary for astronomy enthusiasts maintains strict lighting ordinances to preserve its pristine dark skies, making it a premier destination for both amateur stargazers and serious astronomers. On clear nights, which occur frequently in the desert climate, visitors can witness shooting stars, track satellites, and observe celestial events with extraordinary clarity. The surrounding mountains create a natural bowl effect, blocking distant light pollution and enhancing the darkness. Local astronomers often host star parties during peak seasons, offering guided tours of the constellations and opportunities to view distant celestial objects through high-powered telescopes. Whether you're spreading a blanket in your backyard for casual stargazing or setting up sophisticated viewing equipment, Borrego Springs offers some of the darkest and most spectacular night skies in Southern California.

Great location. Very nice touch from the owners of fresh fruit from the local trees. We did enjoy them and appreciated the gesture. The place is very quiet and very close to pool and hot tub. An exciting moment for us when the big horn sheep came to the yard to graze.

The property was all that I anticipated it to be. Clean, well supplied, great location on the pool/spa courtyard, nice landscaping, great layout with bedrooms at opposite ends, comfortable beds and furniture.

We loved it! Great location, very clean, and great views. A few additional amenities would have been much appreciated, such as a grill. We love to cook our meals when staying at a VRBO. A blender, too, is nice. A blow- dryer is helpful. A few suggestions to increase comfort level.Check light bulbs. Several were out. Window coverings on the kitchen and bathroom windows. And an iron. We really loved this place.

Weather was perfect and condo is right next to the pool and hot tub. Great location. We were also delighted by the wild life viewing opportunities. We walked up the hill to be greeted by a herd of 13 big horn sheep. Amazing.

Communication with property manager was excellent. Locating property was not difficult in daylight but coming in at night for first time could have been a challenge.Access to condo was simple by using code supplied ahead of arrival time. Condo is just as described with all amenities you need. Pool and hot tub were just steps away from patio and worked well. We will try to stay here again next year and have already recommended this property to other golfing friends.P,S. - De Anza Golf course is in immaculate condition!!.

Beautiful location, which was just perfect for us. We were looking for a relaxed visit with time together and that is what we had. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking and although it wasn't warm enough for a swim, the pool was immaculate and both were right out the door

Spacious and comfortable two bedroom condo in a quiet Borrego complex. Each bedroom had its own full bathroom; one had a tub, the other was just a shower. Though we did not use them, the community's pool and jacuzzi were close to the unit's back patio. It was a short drive to the State Park Visitor Center and the town's restaurants and stores. Like many Borrego options, these condos were built decades ago. Kitchen and baths have not been updated but were in good working order for our stay.

We arrived to find no hot water, no power to bedroom. Left message for the host. Never heard from her. We had no internet so we were without TV and phone service. I was told we would have a smart TV in each of the bedrooms but only had TV in living room. Our wifi would not connect to the internet. We had to look for the breakers to turn on the water heater and bedroom power. Also had a large roach in master bedroom closet and a moldy filter in coffee pot.I think someone should have done a walk of property before we arrived. Pretty disappointed. Beautiful location. We feel we should have some compensation for our circumstance.
