Woodsy Cabin @ Lake Glenville- minutes to marina & brewery

I think we got what we paid for here -- the listing does say This property is off the grid - very few amenities that are not basic. Had to up my phone plan to stream enough for watching World Cup games (I am not a big streamer). You will need endless data if you stay here and want to watch TV. Also, VERY important to know: the house is right above a road where a passing lane starts, so you can't enjoy the nice porch because of the road noise. It did not bother us with sleeping, though. Very basic provisions in the kitchen. If you are looking for a budget stay, this would be fine. Clean enough for us - no dealbreakers. Good communication and friendly. House is for sale, but we had no issues with realtors stopping by. Other than the road noise, the location worked well for us. Q Mattresses were too soft for us, but some may like? New style bed setup with a mattress w/o box springs on a not-so-beefy base.

Apparently I misunderstood amenities, or lack there of, when booking. There NO WiFi, there are TV’s but you have to use your own hotspot to try and make them work. The windows have a nice view, but you were wide open for al to see. The house number and location is not well marked and road noise was an issue. We ended up moving to another location and losing money in this booking. When I tried to contact the host about this, we NEVER heard from her again. Still haven’t. I’m typically not hard to please, but this just was not for us. Read ALL the fine print.

Great cabin! Loved everything about it. Close to several towns that we explored for New Years

Just a few minutes from cashiers and the lake, quiet & comfy. It’s nice and roomy with a great kitchen. We really enjoyed it!

We liked the house and being near Cashiers. Too much road noise for us to enjoy the outside deck, but easy to get back to the main road. Some issues with internet not working.
