We enjoyed the pond, the house and the area very much. The owner is prompt with cummunications. The house is well equipped and the swimming and kayaking was definitely the highlight of our stay.
Clean, comfortable, and great spot to explore with your family.
This place was absolutely amazing from the quiet location to the scenic pond! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful views. Only thing I will say is that it wasn’t very clean, the stove/oven was very very dirty/greasy and there was a lot of dust in bedrooms and other places. But the house was comfy and warm, very homey. The views is definitely one of the highlights, absolutely beautiful. Overall we would stay there again.
The house was great! Convenient to the water for the kids and had plenty of things around for the kids to do!! We will stay again for sure!
Highly recommend this rental.
This property is comfortable and one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. The location is great. Loved the pond view and the manager was responsive to my questions. Each property is different so I’ll share some info to make your stay easier. GPS took us right to the rental but after dark, there are no lights and the number marker on the tree is hard to see. Bring ice, no ice maker on the property. You have to remove the trash yourself at a transfer station. It is not open all day so plan your activities around this. It is $5 per bag. Rental info about this is contradictory. In the house handbook, it says that they will remove up to 2 bags if you check out when the transfer station is closed. In the info sent upon renting, it said there would be an additional $300 charge for any trash left at the property. Check before you assume anything. You need a fire permit to use the fire pit. There is a $35 fee and you must schedule an appointment with the Fire Marshall to sign the permit. We were only there 2 days so we did not want to interrupt our plans to accommodate this. Checkout instructions are to set the thermostat to 60. The central heat is slow so use the auxiliary wall heaters. (We are from Texas so did not know to use these at first.) Restaurants are short staffed so call ahead to get on the list. The Community Market is actually the best grocery store in Conway. Have fun.
Great property for four of us to get away close to North Conway and Fryeburg Fair. I love being right on the lake beautiful view can fish from the yard couldn’t ask for any more
My family and I have been coming to the white mts at least once a year as a tradition ever since my oldest daughter was born. I have always rented a house from friends(that are practically family) that own a house in Eidelweiss Village. They recently sold that house and this was the first experience we have had renting from someone we did not know, also the first time booking through VRBO. This property has a fire pit, it is stated that you can use it but a permit must be attained. At the time of asking this I had no idea not only would this cost $35 dollars but you would also have to meet with the fire chief to sign papers. I no longer wished to use the firepit ( did not want to take time away from our plans to arrange a meeting and decide a specific day and time for the fire as rain was forecasted. I still needed to pay the $35 dollars for the permit even though we wouldn’t be using it. Just something to be aware of. Also there is a cleaning service and fee for this cleaning service but dishes are not included. They must be cleaned and put away. Again, this is stated but it is something to be aware of(we complied but we figured it was something that would be included with the cleaning fee). Lastly, upon arrival at this property my husband and I noticed that the screen closest to the front door had popped at the seam, and the rubber trim was dangling. I am not expecting perfection when I enter anyone’s house, and as a first time renter to a stranger I never even thought to bring it up or report it. It was to my surprise that not long after we checked out I received a message regarding a claim that would be submitted for damages and a question of how it occured. I responded through messenger but also called the owner(Patrick) immediately, as this claim was $375. Though Patrick was respectful and I explained that this was the condition upon arrival, that nothing was altered or damaged, we did not leave trash out, everyone in the house was respectful of his property, I am still having to accept responsibility for these damages as he wasn’t sure what else to do and the previous renters and housekeeper claimed it was not in that condition an hour before our arrival. Please please please report anything even small things because I was not aware this could happen to me in this case and it really put a damper on a vacation that my family has been looking forward too. I will be hesitant to rent from people I do not know because of this.
My wife and I were looking for a relaxing week by the water and we found it at this property! The amenities were exactly what we needed. Beach was perfect for our young son to play in and the pond was quiet as it appears motorized boats are not allowed. The location is also very convenient for any activities you want to do in the white mountains. We loved the location and area and will strongly consider coming back next year.
Nice place in a great location. Cheery and updated, really well set up for enjoying some time by the lake. Minisplit AC is quiet and comfortable. Great sandy beach, thumbs up on having the canoe and kayak there to borrow.
The property was in Great shape and we loved the private beach! The manager was great with communicating to us about the check in and making sure we were all set and enjoying our stay!
The place was great, and the hosts were very accommodating. The location is great. It feels secluded but just a quick drive to many places. The kayak and canoe were great to use. The hosts responded quickly and provided everything you’d need. We ended up staying there and cooking most of our meals, and there was plenty of supplies. Overall a great trip, and we’d definitely come back!
