Unique Waterfall Chalet with Decks Over the Falls in Nantahala, Pet Friendly!

At 70 yrs.old, the entrance steps were very difficult to manage. We had to haul coolers and lugguge up over 20 steps. Wish we had warning about steps in description. It was cold and the fireplace only worked 4.5 hours out of our 3 night stay. Very uncomfortable and disappointing. We'd have stayed longer if we had been comfortable. We were warned ahead of time of construction & big machinery right in front of cabin. We were fortunate for the holiday and work at a standstill. The cabin smelled musty when we arrived and we had to open doors for a few hours. Dust and dog hair clogged intake vents, under furniture, behind beds. Made me feel like I was living in strangers germs left behind. It was surface clean, but needed deep cleaning to be rented to public. Being asked to haul away our trash was a nuisance. On the plus side, the deck is lovely, waterfall relaxing, well stocked with cooking supplies, nice cabin and the manager responded after 2 nights (Thanksgiving) to work on pilot light but it was only lit a few hours before going out again. With these issues taken care of it would be a nice stay. All in all, for us, it was disappointing.

We had a great 2 weeks here. The house was very cozy and welcoming inside. We had our med size doggo with us and he really enjoyed all of the new smells around the cabin and hanging out on the deck listening to the waterfall. All of the amenities were in good shape, and we cooked quite a few meals there. The only, very minor, snag was that the book of directions mentioned satellite tv. As far as we could tell, there is no tv service. You need to stream news shows from Asheville, or plug in your Amazon / Netflix, etc acct info and use it that way. Again, very minor, but a difference from the instructions. We really appreciate Joa and Nancy offering their home for us and if we decide to return, we would definitely look for the Little Waterfall House again!

The chalet is beautiful and the position next to the falls makes for a relaxing environment. Joa and Nancy were incredible hosts.

This Little Water Fall house was one of the best getaways we have ever had! The Waterfall and Walkways are Absolutely Beautiful. The homeowners have thought of every little detail. We rarely left during our stay. The homeowners are easy to communicate with and We are greatful for them sharing their home.

I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who loves waterfalls. There’s a cute waterfall right by the house plus it’s in a vicinity where many waterfalls are available to see. The house is cozy and very clean and everything is pretty easy to figure out. It’s also very private. I had a wonderful day and would definitely rent this cabin again.

This stay was absolutely magical! The waterfall view was so stunning. The property was so beautiful and the hosts were so communicative! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Excellent location! The cabin is close to everything! Though, I have to admit it was hard to leave the sound of the waterfall. It was a very sweet spot. Serene and tranquil.

The place is situated right in the creek and beautiful waterfall. The house is kitted out with everything we needed for a weekend stay. We used the broil, the fireplace, the big tv, and the kitchen. Excellent hosts.

Beautiful cabin very cozy.

This property is incredible. It is very well maintained. The inside of the cabin is well furnished. We were there in December, for only three days. Two of those days it was raining and cold. Not a problem, we had raincoats so were able to get outside and walk to the waterfalls. There is also an old road bed that was great for hiking. Back to the cabin. The living room has a great fireplace. Perfect for reading or just sitting on the sofa, looking out at the waterfalls. We will be back!

Great location and the waterfall was awesome. The cabin was set up very nice and the deck was great. It was very comfortable, fireplace was nice and even used the grill one night. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again.

The cabin is perfect and the waterfall that flows by it is so relaxing. We can’t imagine a more desirable experience. We hope to return with family and friends to share with.

Had an amazing stay at the cabin. Second visit to this property and absolutely love it! Clean, well stocked with linens & kitchen & location is perfect! Weather was wonderful. This is my happy place! Hope to be back next year.

Waterfall cabin offers a waterfall view that is simply amazing. I am sure that you will not find a more inviting and tranquil cabin. Even at night while sitting on the deck the waterfall sounds paired with the lighting on the waterfall gives one such sense of beauty and peace. The waterfall and really the whole property is beautiful.

Waterfall makes up for lots of problems like not a decent reading lamp in the cabin even in the bedrooms.

This darling mountain/waterfall getaway was by far the cleanest and most organized place we've stayed in while in Franklin. It was comfortable and well furnished. The owners quickly answered questions we had and the sounds from the waterfall lull one into a sense of restfulness and quiet. The only hesitation we would have concerns the number of stairs to enter house, which is difficult for older people like us. Otherwise, a near perfect place!

Thanks so much for one of the best places we have ever stayed. Very clean, organized and sacred location. My husband couldn't believe they had almost everything you need. Lovely.

Our stay was terrific! The deck and waterfall are peaceful and beautiful. The house, well... feels like a home. You can tell there have been many wonderful family gatherings there over the years... love it! While my brother is building not far away, I see us renting Joa's and Nancy's place many times if our family overflows his new 3 bedroom house. (cauuuse needless to say, our adult children will still try to tag along if they can!) Thx Joa and Nancy!

We were very excited to stay near a waterfall and we weren’t disappointed. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, however, the house really only holds four adults. We brought our 16-year-old and he slept on the couch, which was actually very comfortable. He said the rollaway bed was not comfortable at all. The waterfall was right out the back door and all the walkways were fun. The house is right next to the road though, and all the noise from cars woke us up throughout the night and could be heard throughout the day. We also had a small dog with us and the porch railing was a little scary for her because there was a large gap in the railing and she really liked to look over the edge. The road and porch were the only negatives to this property, but we had s good time visiting Franklin and Bryson City. We would happily return.
