Rainforest Retreat in Tamborine Mountain

Escape to our stunning rainforest retreat, perched high among the trees in beautiful Tamborine Mountain. This charming A-frame chalet has been fully renovated and offers a truly unique experience, perfect for those looking to relax and reconnect with nature, while enjoying modern comforts.

Key Features:

Immersive Rainforest Views: The back deck, elevated more than 4 meters off the ground, offers a breathtaking view into the surrounding rainforest. Relax, unwind, and watch the beauty of nature unfold before you.
Cozy Fireplace: When the nights get chilly, enjoy the warmth and ambiance of a toasty fireplace—perfect for snuggling up after a long day.
Hot Tub: Soak in the outdoor hot tub while surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the forest, under a canopy of stars.
Lawn & Board Games: Fun for the whole family! Engage in lawn games or a board game marathon for some friendly competition.
Architectural Beauty: With beautiful A-frame chalet architecture, this property is a blend of style and rustic charm.
7 Minutes to Gallery Walk: Explore the world-famous Gallery Walk, known for its unique shops, cafes, and local art, just a short 7-minute drive away. Smart Living: Smart devices throughout the house make your stay comfortable and convenient, combining modern technology with natural beauty. Nest smart speakers through out mean you can control the lights or air conditioners just by talking.
Landscape Lighting: As the sun sets, watch the home transform as landscape lighting illuminates the house and its surroundings.

Accessibility, Safety and things you should know:
Disability-Friendly Design: While not fully accessible, we’ve made every effort to accommodate guests with disabilities. Ramps lead from the garage to the front deck and into the house, with widened doorways and a disability-friendly toilet. The main bathroom features grab rails at the toilet and the towel rails are grab rails as well. There is a rimless shower for ease of use and a disability friendly toilet which is higher than the standard toilet. one bedroom has a wider door and more space next to the bed, we welcome feedback to help us improve accessibility further. Things to note, there isn't a ramp onto the back deck, as a clear access way couldn't be achieved, the two loft rooms require access through ladders and stairs, and we don't have a hoist for the hot tub.
Stair Safety: Please note, the studio loft bedroom is accessed via very steep stairs, closer to a ladder as you can see in the photos, so it may not be suitable for everyone. The master loft stairs are shallow but even—use caution while ascending or descending. We should also note that both the loft's don't have doors and just stairs up to them, there is no visibility from downstairs, however noise does travel.
Restricted Forest Access: For safety reasons, access to the bushland behind the property is restricted. While you're surrounded by nature, please avoid attempting to explore the trees—Australia’s wildlife includes some not-so-friendly species such as spiders, scorpions, and snakes.
The Studio Bathroom has duel rainfall shower heads which look out through one way glass out into the forest. From the left hand shower you can see the living room window, once again, it is one way glass, however if you are a little bashful then may we suggest that you shower under the right head, or have the curtains drawn in the living room. The way the one way glass works is whatever is brighter will be seen, for this reason you will notice that the lights in the bathroom are reasonably dim, and that when you turn the lights on a light outside the one way glass turns on making outside quite bright. turning the light on at night time actually makes the bathroom more private.

Other Amenities:
Septic System: We ask that guests are mindful of what they flush due to the septic system in place.
Tank Water: Our water supply is rain-fed and eco-friendly, adding to our sustainability. Please be mindful of the length of your showers.
Hear a buzzing noise from time to time being on tank water we have a pump that kicks in soon as someone turns on a tap.

This peaceful rainforest getaway is perfect for nature lovers, families, or couples looking for a tranquil escape. Just remember, due to the unique design of the home, it may not be suitable for everyone. We aim to create an inclusive environment, and welcome any suggestions on how we can continue to improve our accessibility. please feel free to reach out if you had any questions.

Come stay with us and experience the magic of Tamborine Mountain!
