Stunning Chalet with No Immediate Neighbors!

Driveway was a bit rugged and there were some electrical issues, but otherwise a beautiful and serene location.

This was perfect for our family and guests. The house sits by itself so there is a nice sense of open space. The deck area is nice to hang out on during the morning or evening. And yes the jacuzzi is great after a long day. We will stay here again. Thanks!

Hard to find the address even with me asking for specific directions as I had read others had an issue finding it. The silver ‘sign’ to look for is faded and not out on the road as other addresses on the street. The place was older & not very clean (dog hair on the rug, kitchen counter not clean under the appliances). No hangers. The internet was sketchy (tv signal couldn’t be found & music kept cutting out). The light switches labeled dining room weren’t even connected to any wiring & switches in the hallway & bedroom lights were hard to figure out. The biggest issue happened the second night (of a 3 night stay) - the downstairs toilet didn’t flush. It overflowed. We looked for the plunger & couldn’t find it. We turned off the water to that toilet; however, in using the upstairs toilet & shower made things worse downstairs. Contacted our host with the issue & while she did try to contact a plumber we told her we were not staying. There were 5 of us and we couldn’t use either bathroom. We LEFT a day early (a trip we planned for over a year). Followed up w/ the host & were told “this has never happened before” it was a “simple clogging issue” ; however, it was much more of an impact to us. Even if the clog had been addressed, there was never any mention of it being sanitized as well. I’m still waiting for a response from the host (& VRBO) to get a refund. The host is ghosting both me & the VRBO whom I’ve personally contacted 3 times. I’m disputing it all.

I normally keep reviews short and sweet but this place needs more information for others looking to stay! The location is perfect. It’s quiet, out of the busy spots, great distance to Yosemite. We went to the park almost every day from sun up to sun down. Come back to that much needed hot tub! After all the hikes and bike rides, it was perfect! The one day we didn’t go to the park, we enjoyed the Pine Mountain area and town shops. We rented paddle boards and went swimming. So much to do. The house had EVERYTHING we needed. It was spacious, the rooms were great, and the mom in me enjoyed having a washer and dryer. 10 out of 10. Book this place!

Patient owner as I made an error but she made everything grand. Home is comfy, and as listed . Sitting on the deck had an owl sit in the tree hooting away right next to me. Neighborhood is quiet .Lake was super and local coffee and meals were great when we didn’t want to cook. Yosemite is just a short drive . Thank you Mou

Pros: the cabin description is very accurate, very quiet and no neighbors are in sight. Host is very responsive. The bedding was clean and fresh. Heating system (baseboard heater in every room) is very effective and super comfortable. Cons: most of the house is in need of upgrade and repair: doors, bathroom fixtures, kitchen fixtures. Cooking pans/pots are very much worn out and broken up. Spa cover had a funky smell. No fans in the bathrooms (or they were not working). For the price , we were expecting more upgraded conveniences

Very private and beautiful location.

This was a great place to stay and head out to explore the park. We were busy at Yosemite, so didn't spend a lot of time during the day. We enjoyed the lake one day, the hot tub, and the pine lake grille - excellent! Thanks for the good stay!!

We had a pleasant stay at this quaint cabin. The necessities were available and the host was easy to communicate with. She even accommodated an early check-in since we arrived in the area earlier than expected.

The property, as a whole, was very nice. It was private and quiet. The location is very good if you are there to go to Yosemite (about a 45-60 minute drive to the valley). Groveland is nice, but touristy and the Mar Val is a decent grocery store, regardless of the size. It was the little things that bothered us. One was the multitude of outlets that didn't work. The other was finding the right light switch. At least one tv was missing a remote. The dining room light has a lot of bulbs, none of which are LED, so it puts off a lot of heat. The beds were comfortable, but there was no light sheet option so it was easy to get too warm. There were plenty of wine glasses, but very few regular glasses. And the kitchen cabinets and drawers really need a remodeling. It was fine that we had to pay to get in the community, though we never had time to use any of the amenities. Though, I didn't like having to check in at the main gate every time. If I could, I'd say overall it was 4.5 stars because most of the little things were annoyances and not deal breakers.
