Stayed Jan 2, 2026Jason’s ski house was perfect for our extended family of 10 adults and 3 kids. We appreciated all the amenities like plenty of toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. everything was in good working order. The views out the windows were stunning. The location close to two ski areas was super convenient. The local Winhall market, though pricy was close by. Nice to have heated garage! The host was very helpful and tried to accommodate our requests. We loved our stay and hope to return!! Highly recommend!!

Stayed Oct 23, 2025My favorite parts .. the kitchen and dining and living area was conducive to our 11 person retreat. The proximity to E.Dorset, Manchester village and Peru with fun dining, shopping & historical options (bill Wilson’s house). The house is updated and is - at the end of the day- a ski chalet:-) We had good communications with the owner to resolve a few small problems - he responded and did his best to resolve (Bears had gotten into his rubbish & he had it picked up the next day). I wouldn’t really plan to use the futons in the game room for sleeping, I wish the bunk room was set up in one of the bigger rooms. Probably a great place for 5-6 adults and then some kids .. but the sleeping accommodations were tough for a bunch of middle aged women. The kitchen could have been better stocked (tin foil) and the cabinets could use some maintenance, oven could have been cleaner and the windows need a good cleaning….(these are just notes for owner to go from very good to great). We had a really great time and are grateful for the responsiveness of the owner!

Stayed Oct 14, 2025The house was nice and clean, kitchen was fully equipped…Comfortably the beds are only for 10 adults and two little kids, not for 16 as advertised…The Futon and two long chairs are not comfortable for sleeping…

Stayed Jul 17, 2025Excellent vacation! Our family of eight adults and a newborn enjoyed the spacious house, with bedrooms located away from the open and roomy living area. As others have mentioned, the three bedrooms on the lower level don't have AC. We were comfortable with the extra fans we brought. The community tennis court and grassy area of the park are just a short five-minute walk away, where we played pickleball and spikeball. Stratton Golf is a quick drive, and the course has rolling hills and stunning views. We brought most of our food with us, but Honeypie is the place to get takeout. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking items. We did not use the grill. For a bit of adventure, we visited Dorset Quarry for swimming and cliff jumping. The host, Jason, is responsive to all communication.

Stayed Jul 7, 2025So badly wanted to be able to give this property a good rating and i really tried. Listing says ac- what we he means is ac in 1/5 bedrooms and 1/2 living areas. If you want hot water, you have to allow the heat to be on- or you can turn off the baseboards and have no hot water for showers and dishes.First day we reached out as soon as we realized the listing was inaccurate and then when we were BAKING in the middle of the night from the baseboards being on in JULY. The owner asked us to trouble shoot that night and offered to send out a heating service to look at it on day 4. We asked that he provide a solution sooner and then he went quiet- 5 days into vacation with contact every day requesting a solution, he finally responded with why don't you go into my basement and try to look at the plumbingHad at least 8 people come up to the house for services and not once was warned... including major work on the pond that left the driveway blocked multiple times as we wanted to get in and out.If you turn on the TV, you also get instant access to all his ring camera screens- at his VT house, at his NJ house, at his KC home and also an international one that includes what seems to be a child's bedroom- you've got to be kidding me! Requested a full refund after himfailingt o send a partial refund for four days after he said he would- he sent one night back. This property could be great but the owner ruins it completely. save yourself a headache and stay somewhere else.

Stayed Jul 2, 2025From 3 to 101 years old, we all had a great time. The house has been renovated and is very clean. The kitchen and eating space accomodated a large group very well. Wonderful access to beach, tennis, pickleball, beautiful hills.. Sleeping is limited to the beds; only one single futon could be used as a bed. Host was immediately avaiable and responsive to our needs.

Stayed Jun 25, 2025We arrived during a heat wave to a 96-degree house that was supposed to be air conditioned! The thermostat could be set to heat or no heat! We quickly called the owner who said the house was not set for air conditioning yet and a technician will come as soon as possible tomorrow morning. He did come the following morning. In the meanwhile, I was told to open the windows, many of which could not be opened and if they could be, the screens were in poor condition and it was 90 out side. The bedroom over the garage had a separate wall heat exchange AC unit. However, the remote was nowhere to be found in the room. Later, it was found elsewhere but the batteries were dead. The AC was not sufficient so that the cold air would go downstairs which was suggested by the owner. Also, when the kitchen/dining/living area was cool the main bedroom (king suite) on that floor did not cool.We were of group of 10 for 7 nights. So, for 8 of us it was uncomfortable nights. On the positive side, the open design kitchen/dining/living area was very spacious, comfortable and conducive for social activities. Also, the beds were notably very comfortable. There were plenty of closets. It was great having 4 bathrooms which were all nicely renovated. The internet was excellent throughout the house. It was nice having extra tables and chairs. The dishwasher detergent dispenser did not release the detergent during the wash cycle. Lots of fixing needed. We all still had a good time during stay.

Stayed May 23, 2025We enjoyed ourselves arriving after a week of Vermont rain so the outside of the house and property were a bit messy from the weather, the deck, grill and hot tub area affected. It was fine as rain continued. The house was pretty organized with enough room for 8 adults to cook/ serve and socialize. We enjoyed nice neighborhood walks and a trip to Manchester and Hildene. There’s some maintenance needed as would be expected after the busy winter season. New pillows and towels would be a plus. We appreciated the accommodations and car charger thanks again!
