Stayed Dec 21, 2025It was clean and fully equipped for family self-service stay. Thank you. It would be nice to have an ensuite master bedroom (perhaps not applicable to this property now, but I will look out for one next time). Also, we would have preferred a lock on the master bedroom door. Otherwise, spot on!

Stayed Sep 27, 2025Located near shops and restaurants Parking was an issue. Driveway very narrow made parking very awkward! We had a small car so anyone with a larger vehicle would struggle

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Very good standard of accommodation, all the facilities you would require. Only issue was parking as the allocated space is just enough for a hatch back car. Very quiet street, but there is a school nearby. Big plus is the carpark the next street along which has 4 electric car chargers.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at Hope Cottage in Shanklin for a week in February and found it to be well-maintained with all the equipment and space you could need for a family holiday. The décor and furniture was modern and cheerful and the lighting options stunning yet cosy and relaxing. An added bonus was being in a quiet residential road but only a short walk to the promenade, beach and town centre where there were plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants and even a theatre. There is so much to see and do in the Isle of Wight that we have booked Hope Cottage again for June and can’t wait!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a rather wet stay in the Isle of Wight, but it didn’t matter. The house was beyond comfortable and we were so happy being in it. The kitchen was well equipped, the front room brilliantly set up to enjoy films on the TV and the beds super comfy. Shanklin was on our doorstep, so when the rain finally subsided on our last day, we could explore on foot. Would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Staying here was amazingly close to everything we wanted to do, and using the information provided we visited other places we hadn’t considered. The house is lovely with plenty of room and well equipped. The enclosed garden is ideal for children and dogs as well as for outside eating, weather permitting. Shanklin beach area has a lovely esplanade to walk along accessible for anyone, with a couple of cafes to stop at. There are plenty of public footpath walks all around the area. I would highly recommend staying here and would like to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Virtually everything. Bolts on side gate that work to feel more secure. Bit of weed maintenance. A grab rail on step down to bathroom... Mum was 80 so could have used this. I appreciate you cater for all ages.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a super birthday stay at Hope Cottage, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after Christmas/a hectic few weeks. The decor is gorgeous bright and airy. It was spacious, really well appointed and you can really tell that a lot of thought went into making it feel cosy and welcoming. It’s a cracking spot too plenty within walking distance to please both kids and adults and a great base for exploring the Isle of Wight. So glad we found it, it’s such a gem that we’re already planning our next trip!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Hi.The house is really nice, very clean and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed and i was so impressed, the owner thought about all inclusive bag for sandwiches, coffee and prosecco in the fridge. We spent 3 amazing days in your property. Thank you
