It was quiet and very comfortable. Lots of things available. The only problem would be the stairs into the house for we older people.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was incredibly clean and exactly as described. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish, which made everything very easy. The location was perfect for our girls trip—close to everything but still peaceful and relaxing. The home had three spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, which gave everyone plenty of space. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the coffee bar was such a fun bonus in the mornings. We would absolutely stay here again!

This place was so great! It was really nice having a bathroom on each floor as well. We took full advantage of the projector Downstairs and was able to have a fabulous little weekend away! Will be booking again!

Our experience was excellent from the second we arrived to the second we left! The host checked in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. He was friendly and available for any needs - and included some special touches to make us feel welcome! The house is set up well to accommodate its guests. We liked how each floor had its own bedroom and bathroom. And, the house had plenty of amenities to keep us entertained when we weren't out exploring the area. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful two night stay this fall, in this perfectly appointed home. There are so many extras, like a coffee/tea station games, gas grill, fire pit, both propane and wood burning.Everything was perfect for a couple of families to make great memories together.All of that said the absolute best part of this property is the amazing host Matthew, from the moment of booking all the way through checkout follow up this is the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in.

The host was incredibly accommodating and thought of every little detail to make our stay feel personalized. The house was great for kids and the adults! This home was just perfect for our family of all ages from 15 to 81. We spent several days exploring the area, and it was so nice to come back to such a pretty spot. Matthew communicated with me several times before and during our trip to make sure we had all the information and recommendations we needed—even a good spot to find Petoskey stones at a nearby beach! He left wonderful treats for us, and it was clear that he cares about this home and every detail.The home was extremely clean with space for everyone. We would definitely choose Matthew’s home again!

We loved our stay at Sugarloaf! Host was wonderful and very accessible, great contact for checking in and getting situated. Property was very clean and there was a lot of fun little extras that my two year-old grandson really enjoyed as well as the adults in the group. We appreciated all the thoughtful little touches!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet. The home is very comfortable and it was close to family that lives nearby. While the reason for our stay was very sad, our niece's celebration of life service, it helped to have a peaceful, quiet and relaxing place to retreat to. We will definitely look into staying here again.

I have never felt more comfortable staying somewhere and the home itself was beautiful and everything I could have ever asked for to celebrate my sisters bachelorette weekend! Mathew was incredibly helpful every step of the way and even went above and beyond to create personal touches for our stay. We had an amazing stay at the chalet and can’t wait to go back again! The place was stocked with lots of extras like a coffee bar, items for our dogs, and toys for our little just to name a few of the amazing extras. The beds were really comfortable too. We had the best time at Matthew’s property! We had 3 families staying (one with 2 younger kids) and having separate bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for us. Check in was super simple and we didn’t have any issues. The house was super clean and the amenities were excellent - the hand soap smelled so good; we loved that he provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms; towels were also provided, both for showers and the beach. Matthew was such a great host leaving a bottle of wine and items for s’mores (which the kids loved!). This was truly home away from home!

Lovely little home in the woods complete with everything we could’ve needed - beach towels and chairs, coffee, dog bowls & towels. Close to everything we wanted to do - hike & beach, and attend a friend’s wedding! Communication with Matthew was excellent. He answered all of my questions promptly. If we come back to this area, we’d be so happy to stay here again!

We really enjoyed exploring Traverse City & Sleeping Bear Dunes. This was a perfect home base.

Was our first time to the Michigan area and we had a great time. Close location to great beaches and towns. Only stayed for three days and didn’t get everything thing in one we fell in love with the beach! Which was cold but didn’t bother the little one a bit. House was great, all the extras were a nice touch. Matthew was a great host thank you for a memorable family vacation!

What a fantastic place for a cousins weekend! We were a party of 8 and all were very happy with everything…which isn’t always easy with that size group. Our host was very helpful with both written response and literature for all our questions. He responded very quickly, too. Very professional. Everything we needed was on the property. Stayed with family and kids aged 1.5 to 5 and we loved it. Kids toys in the house, Boogie boards and sand toys much appreciated. Upstairs bedroom is a loft, wish there were walls and a door, but overall would definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay! Matthew the owner of the rental could not have been easier to work with! The house is charming, clean and very comfortable with anything you could need or want. Fully stocked kitchen! I mean full stocked! Wonderful coffee/tea bar complete with to-go cups and lids. Everything was well marked, i.e., light switches, fan switches/remotes, etc. Comfy beds and nice, hot showers. Location was perfect for visiting Traverse City, Leland, Glen Arbor, Mission Peninsula, etc. Do visit the wineries! OMG...Mari, Brys, Rove, Chateau Chantel, etc. Beautiful scenery at each and wonderful wines. Excellent shopping in Glen Arbor and Traverse City. Would happily stay here again and highly recommend!

The house worked perfectly for our group of 3 couples. The best part was that each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom on their own separate floor. The kitchen table extended for plenty of room for game night. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful with trees surrounding the property. The kitchen was well equipped and even had a cupcake pan, which we used to make birthday cupcakes. There was coffee, a washer & dryer, cleaning supplies, soap and shampoo, pretty much anything you might need. Our group truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

My wife and I come to the area every early November to find some wine/spirits and just get away for a minute. This year we asked our closest friends to join. They had little experience in what the north west had to offer, so showing them was one of the most enjoyable weekends we have had with them. And the house was just the perfect place to rest and taste our finds of the day. Would recommend this house to anyone that asks. Thank you to our host for all the great amenities within. We really need to know what kind of coffee was provided. It was excellent!!

Matthew went above and beyond with hos hospitality. We were there for the annual Toast the Season wine tour. The house was clean, well-stocked and cozy. We had the family dog on this trip, and it was equipped with amenities that you would need. Very thoughtful.

We arrived in October 3-6th. Our stay with friends was wonderful, kitchen fully stocked as we made breakfast daily before leaving for events/fun throughout the county! Beds were very comfortable, the home was clean, the owner (Matt) was more than generous we had coupons for wine tasting, a chilled bottle of wine, cinnamon rolls and the fire pit was set up! We soooo enjoyed our stay at the house as well as venturing out to all the wineries/events and restaurants! Matt thank you for being so communicative as well as generous! Would come back in a minute! Homeowner, Matthew, was communicative throughout our planning and stay. The house was clean, well stocked, with both a gas and wood fire pit out back. The neighborhood is quiet and woodsy. I appreciated not having a long list of chores when checking out.

Great family home for a stay in Cedar and visiting the sleeping bear dunes national seashore and Glen Arbor. Convenient to beach also. Our host had everything at the house, kids loved the downstairs games and big screen tv.

We had 6 in our party. My husband and our 4 adult kids. We had such a nice time at the property! We stayed in Friday night and cooked dinner. The kitchen accommodated us perfectly. There was everything we needed to prepare our meal! We spent the day Saturday in Suttons Bay and Glen Arbor, and had such a fun time! We made a delicious breakfast Sunday before we cleaned up and headed out. The home was comfortable, welcoming, and very clean! The beds were so comfy :-) the kids had so much fun downstairs playing old-school Mario brothers and watching their favorite shows on the big screen projector. Highly recommend this property! There’s even a little cozy fireplace. We noticed it would be so nice to stay there during the winter time :-)

The accommodations were perfect for my family. We had six adults in our group and having bedrooms on three separate levels, each with their own bathroom, provided the perfect balance of family time and privacy. We also had a couple of dogs in our group and we very much appreciated the provided gates and supplies for them. The property was extremely clean and exactly as pictured. The communication was great. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about our stay.

The accommodations were excellent! Nestled in the woods for a very quiet experience. We had our three young grandkids along with us and more than once we heard this is the best day ever.
