COZY LOFT w/ PRIVATE BEACH ON GORGEOUS MOUNTAIN LAKE IN THE BERKSHIRES

Had a wonderful weekend here at The Loft. Such a nice quiet spot to get away for so much needed R&R. The Loft was very accommodating would definitely come back for another visit.

Everything in the title of the listing is spot on. Host were friendly made it felt welcoming. The space may seem small but everything was situated to provide ample space even with 2 kids moving around. The loft was clean and had everything you need to cook. The bed and pillows were comfy and my wife said she didn't even notice when i got out of bed. The fireplace kept the whole loft warm even when the outside temp was below freezing, without excessive noise. The loft inside a loft bed was a hit with the kids as they kept fighting over it. Owners dog was friendly. Nature was abundant as we saw several types of birds, rabbits and other wildlife running around.The weather was a bit cold for early May but that didn't stop the fishing. There were plenty of kayaks and a canoe available for use. We caught an abundance of bass, pickerel, panfish and crappies with just jigheads w/worms. Overall, it was an excellent stay and we are definitely looking to come back during warmer weather.

Great spot for a weekend getaway!

The house is beautifully decorated, and very well appointed. (Although we didn't need to use it, the kitchen had every appliance you could possibly ask for). The hosts added thoughtful touches such as robes and slippers for the guests. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful when we had questions, and accommodating when our arrival was delayed until after check-in time.

Wonderful. Hosts, wonderful facility, wonderful surrounding area,, just beautiful, rain or shine.

wonderful location for accessing fun fall activities - hiking - leaf watch - great restaurants and shops in Great Barrington and Stockbridge - museums, etc. Weekend away to relax and recharge.

We had a great stay! The loft is just as described- good privacy being above the detached garage, nice porch, cute decorations. Would stay here again.

Cannot say enough good things about our stay with Gail and Tim. Perfect loft right on the lake, tons of water activities, local hikes, great food, and peaceful times.

The property was as advertised. It was very clean, in good working order, and had a good deal of privacy.

We enjoyed our stay. This is our second trip to The Loft and we plan to return. Everything both outside on the lake and inside the loft was available and Gail and Tim Puntin are excellent hosts. Most or our time was spent enjoying kayaking and loating and swimming in the pristine waters of Goose Pond. Upper Goose Pond is a beautiful tranquil protected lake as it is on the Appalachian trail.

This was a third summer visit to Goose Pond. Check-in is very straightforward. The hosts Don and Gail come and say hello. The accommodations are well-kept, the kitchen is small but well organized and very easy to use. Highly recommended!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the loft. The location was very convenient to Jacob's Pillow, where we saw a wonderful performance. My husband is an open-water swimmer and relished his morning swim in Goose Pond.

This property was perfect for section hiking the Appalachian Trail. The space was great for us and the kitchen worked out for breakfast, preparing lunches and one night eating in. The location is close to Lee, so there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Sitting by the lake was wonderful and the hosts were very nice.

Gail and Tim are excellent hosts. The loft is adorable and has everything you need. Super clean and new and cozy. The view from the balcony is soothing. I went to dip my toes in and sit by the water. So much beautiful birdsong. I can’t wait to go back!

Such wonderful proximity to the Appalachian trail - great hikes from your door. Goose pond is lovely to explore by kayak or water bike and cool off with a dip. Nearby town of Lee has cute stores and restaurants. (Less than 10 mins drive).The loft is just as described, simple airy space perfect for balcony grilling looking out into the woods and downtime between activities. Tim and Gail were lovely hosts and very accommodating. Bring bug spray as you are in nature and by water!

Perfect weekend away! Was very pleasant to hang out on the deck and play in the pond and was a very short drive to lots of things to do.

Visited in early May. Great hiking and not too hot. Lovely town (Lee) and a beautiful lake right outside your door. Serene as can be, quiet with only the sound of nature. The space is so charming and comfortable with everything you could need and more. Hosts were perfect.

My wife and I were looking to get out of the city for a weekend and admire the fall colors. The Loft was the perfect home base. It is an incredibly well-designed space with a lovely warm, cozy feel to it. It had great proximity to the town of Lee, where there were some amazing opportunities for eating and antiquing. We truly enjoyed our time there and felt completely recharged after our stay. Tim and Gail were kind and accommodating hosts. We hope to return again someday!

We choose this property because of how secluded it was. The stay was serene, beautiful atmosphere, and everything we were looking for in our weekend getaway to the Berkshires. We will definitely return.

Exactly as advertised. Owners are great. We stayed here 5 years ago in the summer and were happy to be back for a long fall weekend.

I had a wonderful time staying at the loft. Gail and Tim were wonderful hosts that felt like family to me. They took me for a lovely boat ride around Goose Pond. (Tim has written a book all about The history of Goose pond and It is available for purchase!) I enjoyed my time reading on the dock relaxing and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Bella and Bob were the icing on the cake! Even got a kiss from Bella. Woof Woof! I highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed! I will be back!

Nicely appointed Loft. Was perfect for a couple or family with small children. Kitchen had all you could need. Very comfortable queen bed. Nice sitting area and dining table area partial view of Goose Pond water. Waterside lounge chairs, shallow swimming area and dock Owners Tim and Gail live in home nearby very beautiful friendly Pyrenees dog Isabella Owners receptive to any needs. My girlfriend and I celebrated our first anniversary at this lovely property. Gail and Tim, and their adorable Newfoundland doggo, Isabella, greeted us when we arrived. The Loft itself is very spacious, with a giant comfy bed. The lake is super clean, and the owners have plenty of water-crafts available to use to explore it. This place is a short trip from our home base in the Capital Region of NY. We will definitely be keeping this place in our back pocket as a return destination!

We love staying at The Loft! We have been more than once. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The owners Tim, Gail and Isabella are fantastic and so friendly and accommodating. We can fish, ride the water bike, go in the canoe or kayaks, shop in the area or relax and sit by the water. I highly recommend this location!

Super cute loft behind owners’ property on Goose Pond (which is really a lake!). Close access to great hiking trails and restaurants. Haven’t slept so well in a while! Amenities were perfect for our trip!

Gail and Tim were great hosts and the space was cozy and beautiful. Easy access to everything in the Berkshires and Goose Pond (lake) was amazing. Enjoyed the kayaking/swimming and the sheer beauty of the area. The loft was peaceful and private and had everything I needed. I would highly recommend staying here and will be back.
