Centenary chalet in Carcavelos, with 8 bedrooms, garden and pool. 1km from the beach

We had a very nice week in Carcavelos. My Children and Grandchildren loved the house and enjoyed the swimming pool and eating meals outside very much! Pedro Soares is very nice.

After the initial booking in October 2024 we were informed by the Property manager Pedro, that the price had not been increased to reflect 2025 prices. After further discussion we were then informed the price would increase approximately 20% due to renovation cost VRBO fees. This change made it very difficult to change through the VRBO app as the booking had already been confirmed at the initial price. This meant that after various frustrating conversations with VRBO and Pedro the initial booking had to get cancelled and we had to book again at the new increased price.On check-in Pedro was very accommodating at letting us check in 4 hrs earlier on the first day. He met us at the property, was very friendly and suggested various places to eat in the local area. The property itself was very spacious for the group number of 10 we had staying. However given that we were told that the property had been renovated there were certain elements that were not up to our expectations (given that our price increased).The garden area was overgrown in areas and could have done with some weeding and general garden maintenance. The BBQ was completely unusable due to it not being cleaned and the grates being corroded to the point in which we could not use. This was a shame as we were expecting to use on the Saturday but could not. We were informed that one of the bedrooms downstairs was unusable due to it being flooded. Lovely stay in house near the sea. We had a wonderful week.

Great location for access to public transportation, stores and restaurants. It is an easy walk to the beach and the train to Lisbon or Cascais. Place was clean and for 7 of us it was roomy.

I recently stayed at Pedro's villa as part of a group of 9 friends. The villa was spacious and met all our needs. Location was excellent with cafes and shops nearby and only a short walk to the train station and beach. I would defo recommend.

The property is full of character and quirky features. We stayed with a group of us including a small child. There is a lot of space and it was perfect to have the outside area and swimming pool. The area is very central and easy to go to Lisbon or other areas outside of Lisbon. Pedro quickly solved any issues and made our stay enjoyable. We had a lovely stay.

Good house with a very helpful and nice manager

An amazing property just right for an extended family reunion. Bedrooms and bathrooms on three floors made comfortable living space not forgetting the beautiful outdoor areas. One tip if you have young children use the quieter top floor bedroom. A larger fridge would have been a bonus for us but we managed! Thank you Pedro - we all enjoyed our stay.

We came to Lisbon for a friend’s wedding with the difficult mission to find an accommodation big enough for a team of 9 colleagues. Pedro’s villa was blessing for us all: a gorgeous house with everything we could ever need and then some, the ideal location, great communication, a barbecue by the pool with a large table for us all to sit at, and barely ten minutes to walk to enjoy the beach and the sea. We’re grateful for the way Pedro made everything so easy for us. All in all the dream stay for a group of friends!

The property was easy to find from the train. It was pretty much as advertised. The problem was that Lisbon was colder than expected and the house has no heat. The owner purchased 2 space heaters which helped a lot. Just keep in mind that most houses in Lisbon have no heat. The kitchen was serviceable with an expresso maker and full supply of pots and pans. The pool is small but that was no concern for us given the temperature. The neighborhood is nice with a couple of very good restaurants.
