The property is beautiful and unique. The garden's are beautiful and well kept. Most of our entertaining was done through the kitchen/dining room and garden area. The arrival process was smooth and easy, the hosts John and Sue provided everything in writing, in advance of our stay and they answered any questions very quickly. We all had a great time staying at Colliston Castle and look forward to returning again at some point.

Fabulous house which is historically interesting but also comfortable and well-equipped. Comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful large sitting room and many other features. Only 15 minutes drive to the nicest beach in Angus and an hours drive to the Eastern Cairngorms. Owners are super-friendly and helpful.

Very friendly hosts in a real old castle. Not a posh place but very practical with really lovely bedrooms including huge master bedroom. Large kitchen and three lounge areas and very nice dining area. This is not Windsor and a work in progress but great entertaining spaces. Owners are also dog friendly.

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Castle, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the castle's historic charm and stunning surroundings. Accommodation: The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, combining classic elegance with modern comfort. Each room offered breathtaking views of the estate, making our mornings truly special. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights for all of us. Amenities: The castle is well-equipped with amenities that cater to us all. We especially loved the sauna and the wood fired hot tub, as well as just sitting out and enjoying the views of the grounds. Service: The owners were exceptional. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. From ensuring we had all we needed to providing history of this amazing place. Dining: The dining experience was another highlight of our stay. Going back in time with the ancient stove and enjoying the historical kitchen amenities and dining room was nothing short of glorious.. Simply cannot say enough about this wonderful place. We will be back in the future for another stay.

We loved everything about this property. Staying in a castle in a Scotland was EPIC! From the warm welcome with a castle tour and exploring the grounds it was like stepping back in time. The property was the perfect place for the 12 of us to enjoy relaxing on the patio enjoying the garden views and the castle had many rooms to enjoy with a large group for visiting. There is also a vast number of rooms to choose from with spacious rooms and plenty of privacy as well. The castle is in a great location for home base as we went on many excursions to the coast and to many castles nearby. The grocery and fish market are close so we were able to cook some meals together and there are several restaurants within 10 minutes. We would definately highly recommend and we hope to return someday.
