The Stargazer Geodome is glamping at its best. When you arrive the coziness of the geodome will welcome you in with its shabby chic decor and all you'll have to do is unpack and relax. Enjoy a drink while gazing out at the woodland view through the panoramic window, then stargaze through the skylight snuggled up in a cozy king sized bed.

GETTING BACK TO THE BASICS
Escape to The Stargazer Geodome, a unique glamping getaway in the heart of the scenic Almaguin Highlands. With just twosites spread out across 10 acres, each one has its own private outdoor space making it a perfect place to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with each other.

A LAKELAND PLAYLAND
Nestled in the hills and lakes of cottage country, the Almaguin Highlands is a four season outdoor playland. In the warmer weather enjoy water sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, ATVing, or take a road trip to visit our quaint villages and artisan galleries. From May to October your stay comes with a FREE PROVINCIAL PARK PASS to nearby Mikisew which has clean quiet beaches, great hiking trails, and a frisbee golf course. End your day mesmerized by nature’s TV as the flames from your campfire dance under the starry night sky.

ONLY IN ALMAGUIN
For those who want something less sporty to do visit the Crystal Caves, Canada's largest private mineral exhibit & the most magical crystal shop you'll ever step foot into guaranteed. Another unique day trip in the Almaguin Highlands is to the Screaming Heads where artist Peter Camani has created an immense, surreal artscape of huge cast-concrete sculptures throughout his 310-acre property. For those animal lovers check out The Antler Farm where you can visit their deer and have your photo taken with them.

MAGIC AND MAIN STREET
We are a 20-minute drive from South River where you’ll find the Crystal Caves, the biggest mineral exhibit in Canada and the most magical crystal shop you will ever set foot inside guaranteed. Then head 10 minutes down the road to Sundridge where you’ll find a quaint main street featuring a cozy cafe, shops and restaurants. The Screaming Heads is just a thirty minute drive away.

OFF-GRID ADVENTURE
The Stargazer Geodome is a unique off-grid escape and every effort is made to make it a comfortable experience for you while you savour a digital detox and spend quality time together. The solar lights and rechargeable lanterns create a magical ambiance, and the wood stove will keep you warm in the cooler weather. The kitchenette comes fully stocked for cooking up a feast including water and a BBQ. The brand new indoor loo features a camping toilet and a pristine outhouse is just steps from your front door. This is an excellent opportunity to disconnect from technology, and although we do not have wifi, we do have excellent cell phone reception. There is a shared hot water shower in the communal barn but sometimes the water freezes in the winter and it isn't open until May. If this happens most of the time I am here and arrangements can be made to shower in my house, which is also on the property. PLEASE NOTE that in the April and early May you cannot park right at the Stargazer Geodome, it is a four minute walk from the guest parking lot, a cart for your stuff is provided.

PETS WELCOME
Share your glamping adventure with your fur baby for a $50 pet fee. In summer take your pooch to Mikisew Provincial Park, there you’ll find a dog beach where they can romp around and cool off.

We had a wonderful time. Everything we needed was there. The access pass to Eagle lake was also really nice. Sara the host was very responsive and answered all our questions quickly and accurately. Would definitely recommend this stay for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
