Cedar Canyon Quarry is a family-owned property that was once a lime rock mine which has been inactive since the 1970's and has since rewilded itself with hundreds of red cedars. The lake itself which is located within a canyon and surrounded by cliffs has numerous connections to the Florida Aquifer via underground springs and is filled with bass, bluegill, catfish, perch, and even a small population of freshwater eels! Less than an hour from Gainesville and only 2.5 miles from the Ichetuckneeriver, we are available by appointment only 7 days a week, 365 days per year. At this time we do not have tubes or kayaks for rent so you will need to bring your own.
